How do you even equip it can it be equiped with a probe? is it really only one slot does it take up an ecm slot? I can't seem to get on any mech.

Yes, it needs just one equipment slot.

No, it does not take up ECM slot.

You can not put it in the Head section of OmniMech, if that Head slot is filled with fixed endosteel, fixed ferro-fibrous armor or any other fixed equipment.

You can combine Clan Advanced Sensor Package with Clan Active Probe or Clan Light Active Probe.

Minor tidbit: ASP (both IS+Clan) gives +20% Range to TAG.
