hello hello,
Is there a way to see what weapons friendly's have on the battlefield ?

Sometimes I think that would be useful.

I have been asking for this for years, but without success. It would be pretty useful.

It is pretty comical, if you think about it, since many previous MechWarrior games had such feature.

It would be nice but I think at times might get a bit annoying having to cycle through your team to target an enemy. I have trouble now with the game not targeting mechs standing right in front of me. It cycles through all available targets before getting to the one right in front I can see and have my recital on.

Yes, you can use voice coms and ask what their mech loadout is.

I don't want to have to cycle through friendlies before being able to target the red team.

It would be nice if it was listed with their mech info when you press Q.

There is absolutely no way to do this, other than asking them. I dunno if it never came up or if PGI is afraid team killers would use it, somehow.

You could make it mouse-over only for the team, or set up another keybinding...
But you can see that this would take more resources than are probably worth it. However, weapons have generally distinctive muzzles in many cases. You can usually figure out what they're using by comparing their hardpoints and tonnage.

To cooperate with them better by knowing their capabilities, I'd imagine. It would create an unusable forest of signatures unless it was only on mouse-over, or had a separate keybinding/mechanic, though - probably not going to see the reworking of the game engine that would require, but we can dream.

When you press Q, it brings up info- Teammates Name, Mech type, and % of hp left.
It would be nice if it additionally said something like "AC 20 1, ER Med Laser 3", or whatever they have- just like it displays when you browse mechs in the mechlab.

I press Q constantly. More information helps me make informed decisions.

it could be a separate key to target teammates, just have it display their loadout and paperdoll in the corner like it does for enemies. that would actually be a very nice feature.

lots of weapons would clog up the screen space though making you have to hover over the mech to display its weapons and or making it say instead of ap gauss 12 times ap gauss x12 would be a viable way of fixing it and mechs that can use 16 weapons are more of a issue then the warthog it only has 13

Currently it says something like:
feeWAIVER
Ace of Spades
HBK-4G

It would be cool if it said something like:

feeWAIVER
Ace of Spades
HBK-4G
ER Med Laser 3, AC 20 1

i think that would still end up being too much visual clutter once you have more than 2-3 different weapons. the most straightforward and elegant solution i feel would be to use the existing targeting system, just have it bound to a different key so it doesn't cause problems when you're trying to target enemies. as a bonus you'd be able to actually see where your teammates are damaged instead of only getting their total HP percentage.

That is what I meant. Even the old MechWarrior 4 had such functionality.

Just like you scan enemy 'Mechs, you could scan friendly 'Mechs. Weapons and their status, armor, everything.

You could just have a separate bind to target friendlies like in MW 4. That, and a togglable reverse camera which MW 2 had. Won't happen, but would be great features .

Info is king, certainly. But how does knowing what a friendly has help?

If you would like to see more teamwork, then knowing what friendly 'Mech is running what loadout and thus knowing what I can expect from him would certainly help.

If I know that somebody's Stalker is running LRMs only, I would not to expect him to help me hold the line.

And on the other hand, if I know that that Stalker is runnning SRMs and medium lasers, I could reasonably expect that he is ready for brawling, not for lurming or sniping.
