you'd be surprized how many times I was told "Google it" by those people who were using a term or something like that.

To be fair, Google's search is working, which is more than you can say for this forum's search. xD

Yeah, people also get tired of answering the same question over and over, which is only further aggravated by the fact that the forum search is busted.

yes but people ask question for a reason , and typically that's not to be told "Google it."

also if a question comes up alot a Faq would be nice.

if the answer to a question is "google it" I personally wonder if the person responding to me knows...(not that you are doing this.) emotion was spoken of before and passing on ones emotions to another for no reason is not very nice. I understand being aggrivated but well in the case of the internet you can take a step back and simply say "I Don't feel like answering that right now."

It's a byproduct of endless September. When fewer people used the internet, most folks knew the rules and etiquette. Every year in September, new people would come online, through university and colleges. For a bit, it'd be rough as the newbies absorbed the information. Then places like AOL came online, and every month was September.

If you get someone telling you to google it, they likely come from a time when the etiquette in forums was to do a search for your question first, to see if people had asked it already. If you didn't find your answer, then you made a post.

This was also a time when FAQs came to prominence. It's something practically unknown today, as people move away from newsgroups and forums to Reddit and Discord.

Who started with that energy gas? That's all you, now your playing victim and crying. . . SMH.

If your going to play the "lOgIC aMd rEaSOn" game at least get it right. Ad hominem are attacks meant to distract from the point of debate. YOU presented eMoTIoNaL. . into the argument, and I responded. That isn't Ad hominem.

Just sad.

I find it funny that people are responding to the OP's complaint about seeing a lot of smurf accounts with "well, when I run my smurf accounts, they levelled out quickly", as if that disproves anything instead of being a confession of the problem.

I didn't say there were not smurf accounts. I ran into many working their way up that were lanced with higher tiers each and every alt. My point was that if you are half decent and do make a smurf account you won't be rolling noobs for more than a few dozen games before you get kicked into t3. His claim is that the low tiers are buried under smurf accounts robbing him of damage and kills. His claims of doing 500~1000 a game also seem a bit fishy since if you are in the low tiers and are ~averaging~ 500~1000 a game you will be in t3 in a wink and working fast on t2. But I'm being nice and going along with it for debates sake.

Meep meep has like 30 alt accounts at this point cuz he enjoys farming T5/4s. Ofc he'll answer like this to the OP.

14 and all t1 long long long ago. But keep showing your fragile egos like a certain saucy aussie. It's funny too because that certain saucy aussie ~still~ thinks anyone shooting him is my alt.. I know this because I will watch his stream and he complains about it but I'm not even playing. But hey thanks for all the fish. Posted Image

To clear this up. . I was vague about damage. I said a couple times a night, I would hit 1k, not average. So If I play 8 games. . maybe two would be 1k and I was ending up in tier 3. I would then get spanked and go back to tier 4. Now I'm lucky to hit 500. The highest I've scored this month was 728 (today) testing how many tier ones are in each match.

Every match I've played today there has been at least one tier one player. Most matches it is 2-3, saw one guy 4 times. Is player base down so low that this is the new norm?

Thats fair. As soon as you break into t3 you immediately get tossed into the t1 lobbies so if general pop is low but a lot of t1 are online then the odds of you getting pulled into a t1 lobby goes way up. Best times for staying in your tier lane is roughly 4pm~12am eastern time if you play US time zone. Once it gets much past 12am then the floodgates are more prone to open and you get dragged into more t1 lobbies than normal.

Sorry, where am I playing the victim and crying? Ad hominem attacks are attacking the arguer, and not the argument, which is what you did when you said I suck and don't get to comment. I don't care, say what you will, it doesn't change the fact that you engaged in it.

You seem to think that it's not you, it must be the game. It can't be that you might need to change tactics, builds or mechs. It can't be that you haven't played in months and expect to be at the same level that you were the last time you played. No, it is "obvious smurf accounts".

I joke about not bringing logic and fact to the emotional argument because it's unlikely you'd listen to those who are your betters, evne if you think they're the only people who get to have a say.

Boiled peanut should have a chance to get to t2 just to realize its no reward and staying in t4 is the best overall enjoyment for the average player. Tier advancement in this game only makes the game sweatier and more prone to rofflestomps the higher you go so if you are bouncing between t4 and t3 then thank your lucky stars you are spared it. Most of our active streamers are low tier between t5 and t3 and they have an absolute blast playing and everyone in the match tends to seem to be having a great time with happy voip and legitimate GG at the end. When the t1 streamers go on its mostly anger and salt and complaints and whining about how their team didn't meat shield hard enough for their red line farming build. For all that I still love t1. Gas, are you capable of reading? I'm curious. I literally said that I'm likely wrong about the smurf accounts. I was unaware of certain things with the matchmaker.

This whole discussion you've done nothing but make assumptions and attack me. When I finally responded . . yes, it matched your energy and now you don't like it.

Grow up. oh and Google ad hominem.

I realize where I am at in the game. I am only a casual gamer, and won't make it to T2. I've heard enough of the try hards during events, those guys arn't having fun. . . not worth my time. It is looking to me that there is low enough of a player base that there are more than a handful of the better tiers in the lower matches. . . Frankly making me question if those matches are even worth it.

I did screen captures of the matches I played today. All had at least one T1. Compared to screen captures over earlier matches I did. . and there was significantly fewer. . I'm thinking this is a result of changing play time to off peak time.

Will try to play during the weekend to see if I have the same results, but this is looking like my off ramp.

While I said t1 is no reward t1(it's not) it is certainly waaaaay more fun than the lower tiers. Low tiers don't care if they get wiped because that happens all the time. Backstab a sweaty player especially before they can get in a decent farm? Oh man the salt. The Glorious Salt.. Posted Image

Yeah, i made assumptions. But I attacked your argument, not you, in my original response. I made a comment about being emotional, if you want to consider that an attack, sure.

Yep, I'm capable of reading. Okay, so, you said you might be wrong about the smurf accounts. So then what, in your opinion, is the issue? If you're wrong about the smurf accounts, what else could it be?

If you did screen captures of the matches you played today, why not post them? Are they smurf accounts, or actual main account T1s?

If you could read. . I've already posted what I believe it to be twice. You want me to post that, specifically for you now, AGAIN?. . . Wow, you think your special. Also, I never said you can't post. . I said stop trolling. IF you had contributed anything meaningful to this conversation and behaved like an adult, your energy would not have been matched. It is that simple.

Ugh. . as for the ad hominem, What argument was I not attacking? Exactly? You had no argument and were accusing me of doing the "me first and gimme gimme" in game (an attack) . . then that I was emotional (an attack). . before I even responded to you.

I'm not wasting any more time with you.

Dumb question here, but why are Alt. Accounts called "Smurfs"

Just out of curiosity is all!

(only been playing since 2021)

this is sort of like the people who buy cold medicine in pharmacies for meth cooks (see breaking bad). but if you try to buy too much at one time it raises a red flag. so you send them out to buy a couple boxes at a time like smurffs harvesting smurfberries. idk how that became slang for alt accounts.

I had a gastroscopy today.

Should I create a smurf account "Gastrit-boy"?
