In MECHWARRIOR 5: CLANS, you assume the role of a young pilot freshly graduated from training on Huntress, the Smoke Jaguar homeworld. As a vital member of a five-mech squad, known as a "Star," you find yourself thrust into the heart of the Clan Invasion of the Inner Sphere.

Interesting to use a quote from a character that isn't one in the game but with the same name. An attempt at confusing the viewers?

A reference to Clan Smoke Jaguars first saKhan.
Franklin Osis was the first Khan of CSJ. saKhan was talking about Nicholas Kerensky, the first ilKhan.

Pfft, you've discovered the terrible truth. It's just that the mechwarrior's name is Liam, we know the blood name of our sibko. What's the big deal here? Before that, there were quotes from Nikolai Kerensky, but we don't have him either. It is logical that all these quotes are from lore and fiction. No one confuses anyone, just who is in the universe, veterans, it's all nice for them to read and know that developers are familiar with the universe, especially with literature.

And knowing our blood name, we will be treated in a special way, more will be demanded of us. There are many references to Lore in the game, everything here is imbued with the spirit of the Clans. They show us the real way of the Clans.

Everyone has expectations of Liam because of his name.

Liam is obviously the bad boy and rebel of the sibko. He uses contractions to get a rise out of Jayden, and has a big chip on his shoulder about how he thinks about himself and his potential. He seems set up to be a foil to Jayden, just as Iceman was to Maverick in Top Gun. I'm looking forward to their interactions during the campaign!

I would like to note that the game page is not available in all regions in the Epic Games Store. Although they promised to deal with it. I'm going to take it on Steam, but still.

It's time to show the lady. So I'm betting on Mia or Sarah Weaver . The main priority is on Mia. Since she has already been featured in the video twice and talked to Jayden.

PGI have said in the past that they are releasing these character featurettes regularly. I think the next drop of gameplay footage is supposed to be late August after a Con.
From all the interviews, my personal supposition is that the game ends just before Tukayyid. I can totally see Tukayyid being the first DLC which also provides an opportunity to play other Clans. That's my guess based on tidbits of interviews, etc.
