FWIW, in game you can use left-CTRL to set up weapon groups. Usually they'll save automatically afterward but might not for you.

I'd try the usual verify the integrity of game files through steam stuff just in case.

Thanks, I'll try that. However this isn't Steam, its the standalone client.

Like I said I'm without an answer here.

Thanks

Why Stone Rhinos are not on sale? They had some adjustments in the patch... not to much, still, adjustment is an adjustment...

They are all on sale, even both hero mechs.

Adders are all on sale too, except Adder-W. I think this mech is "to fresh" to go on sale.

As for the Stone Rhino, we were doing a review of all the assault mech standings in MWO and one thing was very clear. Mechs like the Kodiak 3, Moonwalker, and Annihilator 2A were all lacking as ballistic based assaults. Rather than buff all three of those along with countless others, we decided to target the outlier mech. The Stone Rhino. When the SR first came out we tried to be extremely conservative in the quirks and stats we gave it, but even then we underestimated the sheer power that comes from being a clan 100 ton battlemech with good mounts and geometry.

Then buff the Kodiaks, Annihilators and Moonwalker , especialy Kodiak has realy **** chasis/hitboxes, i dont even play my bears.
Time to make them smaller as you PGI guys said 3 years ago that you will rescale the too big mechs.
You can make the lights bigger too, they are too small, no way that a 20-25 tons mech is smaler as an assault knee hight.

You're joking, I hope?.. Light mech should be 1/4 of assault size with no survivability quirks imho. It's battletech based game, You cant rly ask for "big lights coz I cant hit them"! Learn to aim ffs or use streaks.
Re-scale should be done long time ago, with AS7 and DWF set as 100% size, while heavies should be 3/4 of their size, mediums - 1/2, and lights 1/4 and only THEN make survivability quirks! Make a quirks and talk about survivability with broken size balance is a bad joke. IMHO.
P.S. as about APGR - there is no wapont unbalansed itself, just some combos are...

Wouldn't be bad if you introduced an automatic feature in the next patch as it doesn't always come to
"TEMPORARY CEASEFIRE" in the FP
this week for the 2x time already

Wouldn't be bad.
But considering how much they cared about to implement a 5-10 lines code what handle it...
Or they could randomise attacker\defender finally! Less one-sided stackings maybe...
...
To implement both ideas it may need about 15 lines of code?
Sometimes wonder what language they use... Some kind of C mayhaps?

Why weren't the HAG changes mention??? 20 does 16 now, 30- 24, and 40 to 36??? Just noticed in the mech lab today and no one even said anything about it... So what other weapon changes besides HAGS and the AC10???

Kinda under handed PGI...

is the new champion any good? or better than its variants?...champion was not a great mech to begin with...

I've actually been enjoying the Apache a fair bit. I don't normally run Champions, but this thing, when rearmed, can be fun. I swapped the RAC5's for RAC2's and threw in a pair of M lasers to give it some support and plenty of ammo to burn through. The Spectre still needs some experimentation though.

MECHWARRIOR ONLINE LEGENDS
AUGUST 2024 PATCH NOTES

Patch Date and Time - August 20th 2024 @ 10AM – 1PM PACIFIC
Version Number: v1.4.299.0
Size: TBD
Please note that due to compression differences the Steam patch size may be larger than the standalone client patch size.
Patch Files (Direct Download) - TBD
(Formatting toned down for Quote purposes only... No details of the Quote's excerpt have been altered!!!)

Well... This is seriously nuts, and I've been having to focus on things in limited amounts of time so that I could avoid failing that August 2024 Beach Party Event we recently had... They release the August 2024 Patch with an incorrect Version Number listed on it, and then completely miss putting up Manual Download Links for those who need them still? That simply will NOT do in any way/shape/form at all! :(

For those who have not patched StandAlone MWO as of yet... ...and may anyone who still needs to get that August 2024 Patch done now enjoy doing so! I also hope this will give PGI that nudge (and without offense intended) they need to fix up the Announcement as well... B)

As for this...

And Escort too

View PostAmsro, on 19 August 2024 - 11:14 AM, said:

Only if one of the players gets to be the escorted mech or you improve the AI, because as it was it didn't function.

Regardless of whether PGI switches that Escort Mech to a player or improves the AI for better pathing, it happens that they ABSOLUTELY NEED to make the gameplay symmetrical by making sure both teams have a VIP Mech to protect! The previous release of Escort Game Mode only failed so massively because that insanely horrible MatchMaker module was not designed to handle any non-symmetrical gameplay modes. It landed up getting the pushback which occurred directly because any Events that involved Escort Game Mode to be played as a specific role were left fighting MWO's MatchMaker for chance of players being made lucky enough on having proper team allocation. That ends up meaning if this much-wanted Escort Game Mode is to acquire re-entry into MWO's environment for everyone's enjoyment, then PGI will ABSOLUTELY NEED to take a page from Valve's "Half-Life: CounterStrike" game series here by ensuring both teams receive the allocation of one VIP Mech each (either player or AI in nature, albeit that I think it could remain AI and some random player is not feeling unnecessarily pained by being actively hunted) for protecting during combat! Otherwise history will repeat itself, and then people would be put off once again due to how non-fun Escort Game Mode is when only one side has a VIP Mech to defend. <_<

[Multiple Edit Cycles by this post's author for some unexpected background formatting issues which they could not foresee... This one was really frustrating!!!]

Request for next patch (or the one after).
Awesome Hero Pretty Baby: is it possible to change fill order on left arm with two missile hardpoints to prioritize higher location?
Now if I first put a rocket launcher 10 on it and then try to place a mrm 40 in the highest part of the arm, they are reversed.
I believe that many (not all, obviously) will agree with my proposal...
Thanks for the attention.
Best regards!
