Ahoj!

I am a guest now and play MWO from a different PC. It runs with all graphical settings on best quality (except anti-aliasing). Just like on my own PC...
But the monitor makes my life harder! It's 16:9 scale unlike my 4:3. And even that "pilot field of view option" is on minimum I still see +20% more on both sides. What seems good for first glance but muscle-reactions remained the same (this mouse use the same DPI what mines after set it) what results that the crosshair always stops before the intented target.
A strange experience and kind of funny I need to re-learn how to aim instead let the good, proven aim-instincts work :D You know, when you struggle to get lock for your LRMs, that is somewhere in the bottom of the "hilarious" category...
But
I am curious now that if I finally adapt the "new world" would I struggle again at home with the decreased field of view? Or my brain could handle muscle-memory + reflex "setups" for more configs? Or would I see once Jesus face on an Atlas once (or he only appears in a sandwich?!)?
Hmmm
Anyway, I hope I can use my Marauder IIc soon again with my "regained" aiming skills! < Secret governmental note: The subject never showed nor had any aiming skills. His Jarl's closed and considered TOP SECRET! There will be no more warning! >

i think ive played mwo on four different rigs. 3 different monitors, with 10 different mice and 3 different keyboards. same old antique ch pro throttle and pedals. those never die. i remember back when i had to keep my arms locked all the time to avoid nausea, because the gpu couldnt keep up well enough to getting 120hz at 4k on a slow day. i used to use a trackir but i got rid of it some years ago. i also had 2 different sets of cats to lay on said keyboard and shoot my team mates, i replaced them as they aged out. i dont think i really had much of an issue because i was always moving to more performant hardware and lazier cats. so i never suffered a hit to my muscle memory.

I'm shocked that I'm not the only person still using a 4:3 monitor...

Just increase the mouse sens a bit to compensate. Its normal to have to readjust when you move to another setup. I guess it depends how much you play. The more you play the quicker the adjustment.

You'll be fine.
