Does anyone else experience random fire from their left mouse button? I've bought a new wireless mouse and tried a wired mouse, but I randomly fire from my weapon group 1 in each of those scenarios without pressing the button

thats a new one. honestly i have no idea what could be causing it. are running any kinds of assistance programs or macros? the fact that it is effecting two separate mice means it has to likely be something on the PC end or something to do with your Keyboard. check your "1" keys as that is the default for that firing group. other than that i don't know what could be causing it.

I am going to say it is your mouse. Mine has the opposite issue in that my right mouse button doesn't alway activate. It is 100% my mouse that is the issue though.

Try resetting your keyboard shortcuts.

I think I have a bit of the same. Was going to try to replace the micro switch. Typically right mouse button issues. Makes gauss cancel mid-charge.

My usual mouse problem has 3 stages:

1) I start using and liking some mouse.

2) My favorite mouse fails.

3) My attempts to buy a new mouse of the same brand and model lead inevitably to one result: My favorite mouse is no longer produced and it cannot be obtained, no matter what. Posted Image

I've had this. For the life of me I could never replicate it, or understand what caused it. That was a while ago though. Just random discharge. It happened regularly, but not frequently so it wasn't an issue.

should be faulty mouse switch, and since its new, you should return / replace it from the store

Mine is a Logitech G300s which already 8+ years old, and my step 3 is to replace the faulty switch, an Omron D2-FC7N, found in many logitech, razer, dell or ibm mouse. A very cheap switch so I need to by bulk to offset shipping price.
Usually replaced every 6 month using simple soldering and prying tool.

oof, i feel you there. the keyboard i was using was the Logitech k550 (Wave) wireless that came with a mouse. the mouse still works fine but the keyboard started giving me trouble about 6 months ago (it would just stop taking any kind of input or at least not transmitting it.. did the usual cleaning it out and changing the batteries but was still doing it. makes me think it had something to do with the wireless transmitter itself.). i searched and searched and the only ones i could find were used (or new old stock someone was selling on ebay) thing is they are wanting $200 for a wireless keyboard/mouse set that i only paid i think $35 for (on sale but still).

i am now using a K710 and i hate it. (picked it up on sale for cyber monday at a good discount) the keys feel mushy and they are almost to small for my fingers not to mention to closely spaced (almost as bad as a laptop keyboard honestly), the wrist pad is useless since i have rather long fingers placing my wrists off said pad. as for the mouse it came with i didn't like it either as the scroll wheel didn't feel right and is to heavy (scrolls to quickly and the ratchet is almost nonexistent). the mouse was also to small making it uncomfortable to use. the two side buttons (fire groups 3 and 4 in MWO) are place to far back making them hard to use for anything. thankfully my old logitech M510 is still going strong despite how many times it has been dropped or knocked on the floor (i have hardwood floors in my room.)
