Greetings MechWarriors,

First off we want to say a huge thankyou to all of our players. We are here and we are listening.

We hope Hotfix 1 addressed a lot of the performance issues that players reported.
We are working on Hotfix 2 right now and we're almost done, our ETA is early next week. Hotfix 2 continues with performance and coop fixes along with many others – check them all out in detail below.
Thank you for your support!

More performance improvements

- Fixed a Co-Op issue where clients would view stuttering with other players
- Fixed a bug where key bindings would be changed without applying them
- Fixes for missing audio in pause menu
- Fixes for audio on burst fire weapons
- Fix for weapon group audio being too quiet
- Fix for DLSS option permanently greying itself out under rare conditions

We heard you didn’t like this – so we reverted it

- Users should not be able to unbind Primary KBM input actions. (But you will have the unbound issue if you do this)

Other issues:

- We heard some players are experiencing audio issues in cinematics – we’re looking into this and will fix as soon as we can.
- We heard that lower end AMD cards are having driver issues – so we’re reaching out to AMD to try and get a solution as quickly as possible.

Until Hotfix 2 drops here are some workarounds for 2 controller issues:

For controls changes not saving after game restart:
- After changing the controls to your preference, close the game.
- Open File Explorer
- Click the address bar at the top
- Copy-paste the following line and hit Enter:
- %localappdata%\MW5Clans\Saved\Config\Windows\
- %localappdata%\MW5Clans\Saved\Config\WinGDK\ (for Game Pass and Microsoft Store)
- Right-click on the GameUserSettings.ini file and select Properties
- Under the General tab check Read-only and click OK.

For not being able to invert Joystick on Y axis:
- Open File Explorer
- Click the address bar at the top
- Copy-paste the following line and hit Enter:
- %localappdata%\MW5Clans\Saved\Config\Windows\
- %localappdata%\MW5Clans\Saved\Config\WinGDK\ (for Game Pass and Microsoft Store)
- Use Notepad to open GameUserSetting.ini
- Edit the following line to say True:
- InvertJoystickYAxis=True

Any [Spoilers] in above patch notes?

If yes, perhaps a [Spoiler_Warning] should be added on top of the Patch Notes! :)

I payed 80 bucks and I couldn't even play it. Kept crashing over and over. Sometimes said '120 minutes' Probably waited on loading screen that long. So I refunded it.

Exactly like I intended to do with mw5mercs, I think I'll wait a few months before playing mw5clans.
Then if I haven't played mw5mercs yet, it's a negligible detail... LOL

Picked up this game. Had high hopes. Right at the end of the very 1st mission, shooting some enemies would have them teleport through the floor, rendering them unkillable and unable to progress further. My only option is to restart the entire mission? I quit, uninstalled and requested a full refund from steam. I really wanted to play this game, especially after watching playthrough clips from TTB. I was dying to try it out for myself, but the game doesn't want me to play it. So oh well. That's that. Everyone has a different experience. That was mine. Buyer beware.

The Specs for the RTX 4070 series show a maximum safe operating temperature of 90°C, so 80 is in the safe operating range. If your card routinely runs at the high end of the temperature range when it is doing what it was designed for, then the heatsink/fan on it may be bad or inadequate, or the airflow inside your PC case is not adequate.

Maybe I should switch to double heatsinks.

I always buy MSI GPUs, they seem to have the best stock cooling systems and I have never had one of their cards fail.

I'm at a point where I made a specific choice,
Spoiler
Now my game has been sabotaged by Blakists, presumably at the behest of Waterly.

Where is the optimization?

i7 12700, 32GB DRR5 RAM, 3080ti 12GB OC gpu, running on SSD and I have a sludgy framerate with a mix of High and Medium settings. What's going on?

Would love to know how people are getting this game to run a smooth 60fps
Ive seen a lot of youtube playthroughs and most have obvious fps issues or blurry upscaling, but they seem fine with it.

i7-12700, 3070ti, 32gb, SSD, 1080p
Every other game runs fine
Cyberpunk high settings, 60fps with a bit of raytracing easy.

MW5 Clans the highest fps i saw was 47 on low/ medium settings
Had to refund and wait for sale when its ready
Dissapointed

Are you running it at 1080p or 2K or 4K? 3000 series GPUS are not really enough to run modern games with acceptable framerates at any resolution higher than 1080p. Also, I did notice that at least with my 9th gen I5, I see up to about 98% CPU usage when the game is running, so I can't run anything in the background, or the game does stutter and mess up. Running the game in Fullscreen with nothing running in the background (especially Discord) helps.

In one of my previous posts I said that I don't know exactly what framerates I am getting when I play, but it is smooth and very playable at the settings I use.

Also, Cyberpunk started development in 2016 and uses their Red Engine 4, Clans uses Unreal 5.

I'm surprised, but with my weak processor, the game works stably at 60 FPS at FHD. Yes, sometimes there are jerks and drops of FPS up to 45 with a large number of mechs, but this does not prevent me from fighting at light omnimechs at speeds and getting targeted. It may be worse in the cities, but so far everything pleases me. I want to note that DLSS saves and I have it on DLAA. Here are my graphics settings, almost everything is at maximum. The 40 series video card is very saving, new technologies solve it. And the FHD resolution is not that demanding.
My iron: CPU i5 7500, RAM 16 Gb, GPU RTX 4060 ti 8Gb, SSD M2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus.
