Longer burn times, higher heat and increased jam chance make them less effective.

Thanks for the input.
And what about the Plasma Cannons? How they function? Can be also installed outside of the Talon Hero Mech?

The only difference is a tiny amount of extra heat added to the enemy 'Mech.

But not as a clan pack I see... í ¾í´¬
How the hell is anyone supposed to tell what is a booster pack, a mech bundle and a mech pack? Or what's what in general when PGI themselves don't use those terms consistently (or at all) in the store?! This is so needlessly complicated and confusing I have a feeling it's on purpose to screw people. í ½í¸¡
The Clan package reward says ANY CLAN PACK and does not exclude Grand Summoner anywhere yet it somehow doesn't count? It even says "Grand Summoner PACK" on the god damn store page! It's listed as a pack, not a booster or bundle in the gift store!
Am I just supposed to innately know what is what? What counts for two rewards and what doesn't? Why does Bane count but Grand Summoner doesn't? Is it the price that determines it? The why does a $5 pack of mech bays count as same value as a $20 Grand Summoner pack-bundle-booster-whatever-the-****?

MWO Clan Plasma Cannon was the Cauldron's response to satisfy Clan players who demanded a Clan weapon that would be like IS Light PPC.

The Plasma Cannon is from BATTLETECH, but the MWO version does not require ammo and functions like a PPC.
From sarna.net:
"The Plasma Cannon is a Clan-tech energy weapon that affects its target primarily through the transfer of heat. It is essentially a more advanced Flamer, firing superheated material in a state similar to that found in fusion reactions and solar flares. Unlike most energy weapons other than chemical lasers, the Plasma Cannon does require ammo, in the form of plastic cartridges used to generate its projectiles.
The Plasma Cannon was developed by Clan Diamond Shark based on the man-portable plasma rifle of the Capellan Confederation. Like the Capellan version, the Plasma Cannon uses lasers to superheat a plastic foam into a volatile "plasma" state which is then launched at a target by magnetic acceleration. Unlike the Capellan version, the Clan Scientists focused exclusively on heat generation, making the Plasma Cannon cause nearly twice as much heat damage on the target."

By the way, here I have already stated that right after Clan Plasma Cannon was added to the game.

Sarna.net a "little fan page"? It is the best resource for BATTLETECH lore. They get all their info from the sourcebooks and novels and compile it into one place.
Anyway, that being said, I would like to see them add the Axeman to the game. I know the Axe on the Axeman would be a waste of tonnage and crit slots in MWO like it is on the Hatchetman, though. They could then add it to MW5 and Mercenaries where you could actually use the axe.

We discussed it. Since there was an energy projectile weapon in lore (plasma) we used the plasma name rather than create clan LPPC. If your next point is “what if we wanted to create a ranged heat weaponâ€, easy, no ranged stunlock. The lore plasma will never happen.

Energy ammo crashed the dev build. Therefore, no energy ammo.
