It's in the notes following the new map announcement for December. So stay tuned. I'm excited for this.

I saw, that, but were are people seeing that it might be a light mech?

Beats me. Fastboi may allude to this new 'Mech being a light version. Cause TiYoS did say it was an Light OmniMech, that much do remember from previous posts over the last six months. There're two Possibles: The Fire Falcon and Hellion.

The Hellion, like Firemoth, has MASC, but I suspect none of the Firemoth's hitreg probs.

The Fire Falcon makes more sense, cause the Black Lanner is the counterpart to it. That's according to Lore. Either would be a nice addition. I say this, we just sit back and see what shakes loose.

If they are not going to worry about the timeline, then the Shrike would be an awesome Jade Falcon Mech. We already have a lot of Jade Falcon Mechs though. I guess we have most of the commonly used Smoke Jaguar Mechs too, unless they are thinking about adding ProtoMechs (I can just imagine the hit registration issues now).

True that. ProtoMechs would raise all kinds of havoc.

the ach e and ach sh could use the 25% mg/ap guass ammo *** well, or just the E arms. same with some of the pirs. you know what im trying for, and doesnt need to be as long lasting as the flea, but any decent alpha size setup has unusable ammo amounts in qp atm.

A lot of things (especially clan omnis and light-mediums) really need more ammo quirks in general, so yes.
Although in Piranha-1's case, it's frankly overtly optimistic to expect survive long enough to use up 660 damage (3 tons) worth of MG ammo with how glass that thing is.

Most of the buffs outside the missile variant and the MASC variant is total whatever, you won't see people fitting their urbies with LB5/AC5s over UAC/RACs, or even bother squeezing in HPPC on the ECM-energy variant. There's the arms armor buff which is admitedly head scratching sure I guess. Oh there's also the R60's +MG range buff I guess but why are you playing an Urbie for MGs instead of a Locust?
The K9 and the R60L getting -100% jam and -40% RAC ramp down are nice sure, but they're not exactly direct firepower buffs either. Good luck getting that RAC5 to jam in the first place on the R60L by the way, the other team has to ignore you shooting at them for that long to get there. Oh and guess you can shoot an UAC5 all day long on the K9 too now which is already what you'd do on it even before anyway.

Yeah Ash pointed out on OutreachHPG that the buffs are indended to buff the Fun Builds

A 2-week Patch Science Sale will go live with the patch and include all the usual equipment, weapons, and applicable BattleMechs. So have fun, and get your 'Mech science on!

Where is the sale, though?

I remember some occassions when the sale started few hours or few days after the patch.

Just came on to say you 'jumped the shark' on the Bane.. the second it looks at you, you melt. PTW mechs are becoming too common.. not a good trend to be on guys.

Yeah after building one of my new Loyalty mechs it seemed like a large dent on C-Bills, sure enough the Science Sale hasn't gone live with the patch as advertised. Shame.

Any idea if there is supposed to be a Bane event like there was for every other new mech in recent memory?

I really want to sell off my Bane-3 because I got the Bane-3(p) with loyalty, but I don't wanna miss event bonuses for not having it.

not loving the bane so far.

But still, no event? thats like the biggest reason to get a new mech early.

I get that things are busy with the other game, but events and sales this quarter have been a let down.

Regarding the reward mechs, it was foolish to pull the ECM out of the Novacat and we have yet to hear why they did that other than an empty comment about too many ballistic hardpoints to be paired with ECM, as that was quickly proven wrong, hell even one of the models of the new Bane has ECM with more hardpoints and 4 energy hardpoints.

Why PGI? why screw up a perfectly cool Nova Cat model buy pulling the ECM and then try to hustle us customers when we asked why? What exactly is the issue?

What ammo? Those 10C-UAC2 burns through 1 ton ammo bins within about 5 seconds (yes, 200 damage in 5 seconds). And then all the ammo left are all on the arms/legs/cockpit which doesn't have rear armor.
5 seconds of firing for the LRM120 variant to use up a 1t bin instead too sure whatever, though it's (very) spread damage instead in its case and you can just hug a rock or something.

Negative ammo quirks? Is this on purpose?

The Leviathan doesn't shoot in "bursts" because it has that new Unique Bane TC on its head, thus negating the main downsides of C-AC/C-UACs. Thus also removing the need of said extra ammo because the damage is compacted into less shots, it's still the same amount of damage, just not in bursts so it's better if you can aim.
Oh, it also turns HAGs into SB Gauss.
