I have a hero i accidently sold the hero omni pod attached to another (non-hero) mech.

My hero mech is now unable to use the omnipod or get set of 8 bonuses etc. I cannot buy the omnipod either.

Shouldn't pgi at least let you buy omnipod back or let you reset it back to stock for a cost if the omnipod is NOT part of your inventory at all

i have so many heroes that when there is a free hero event, and i get to pick the hero, i pick an omnimech with good pods, sell the mech and keep the pods and the mech bay. i can only play one mech at a time so i dont need any dupes.

if you sell mechs, strip them first.

If this really is an accident, then have you tried contacting PGI's MWO Support for aid in dealing with this matter? I've heard good things regarding people needing a solution after doing some head-slapping mistake. ^_^

I like to have multiple chassis dupes for the more flexible omnis. Just easier to click a different thumbnail than to load a different mechlab code.

I didn't even know PGI did that. Few problems I foresee.
1. It was a long time ago possibly months or years. I only discovered it when I tried to play the hero variant that it was missing an omnipod.
2. I have to convince them it was an accident? Posted Image Who in their right mind would sell a hero omnipod lol. Well unless you have like 10 of them.

Talk of selling aside, I do think that you should be able to buy hero omnipods if you own the hero chassis. If I want to do several builds that use the same arm, I don't want to have to buy the same hero several times just for that one arm.

if im gonna break so8 there is usually a specific variant that has the quirks im looking for. but its not like i cant go to my text file full of build codes and switch it up, it might cost, but what else am i gonna do with the bottomless pile of cbills?

This shouldn't matter. Support can verify that you own the Hero but don't have all the pods. Whether it was a mistake or not, or what kind of mistake, they should be good about giving you back your pod if the system allows them to do so. It may take a bit of time, the Piranha Support department is not exactly huge, but I believe they've got a good reputation.

Don't make a habit of selling technically irreplaceable Omnipods if you can (ideally, "don't sell 'Mechs", but I get not having enough bays if you're playing on a budget or if you just don't want to deal with having twelve of a given Omni), but Support shouldn't have an issue undoing one or two oopsies for players. You're not trying to game an advantage you shouldn't have, just regain full access to what you already bought.
