Buying Mech Packs On Website

I had gone on steam to look at the Mech packs there before going to the MWO website because this game is on my steam account where i play it from. To be honest I backed out of buying a few Mech packs for the sole reason of no MC in the Mech packages on there website/
I still cannot believe PGI does not see the error of not putting 3000 MC in there Mech packs on the website? Resulting in the loss of $100 + USD I was going to spend on the game today. Plus the MC is just E-money for the game no loss if they add it into there Mech packs.
On another thought Please PGI for the love of God bring back random map selection the voting system is horrible playing the same few maps over and over all the time. And please make teams a 8v8 game mode like we once had and remove them from solo quick play it's so unbalanced and unfun now.

i really do not like the new mech pack pricing model. its fine if its your first purchase, but its a slap in the face when you already contributed substantially. im not doing f2p ever again.
my tips for being a cheapscate:
-never buy hero mechs, mech bays, or other mc content at full price, wait for a sale.
-buy the mech bay bundles that sometimes come up during the holidays. usually 13 bays for $6.
-never buy mc directly unless there is a sale. you can also by legendaries instead of the $15 mc pack and get the same amount from the battlepass.
-if you can get it for cbills, grind cbills.
-play events, all of them. they often give away gsp, gxp, mc, cbills, mech bays, mechs, etc.
-c mechs really arent worth the mc. they can be used to grind gxp faster but they give away so much gsp in events that gxp has become kind of a pointless devalued currency.
-dont buy overpriced mechpacks, it only encourages them. never buy after early adopters or without a sale.
-loyalty mechs come out for free six months after loyalty ends. its often better to wait for those than to spend big. same applies to mech pack mechs. wait and get the cbill versions for the cost of the bay.

I second the Legendary Mechs!
You can buy 3000 MC for $15, or for this same $15 price buy Legendary Mech + 3000MC +GSP+Premium Time**!
Note: ** You get these goodies with the Battlepass, which has no expiry date upon Legendary Mech purchase! Take your time to complete it!
Strongly suggest you preuse the complete & update list of Legendary Mechs on offer here:

One other question I would like to ask Is MW0 going to be around after the new year? Or is this game going offline to promote more sales of MW5 Clans for PVP?
I Would hate to sink a lot of money into MW0 then it gets shut down?

Mech 5 clans PVP is peer to peer with no match maker, and with a maximum of 5 players (no, not 5v5. Maximum 5). It is NOT replacing MWO any time soon

MW5:Clans is mostly PvE (play vs computer), or a closely knit group of friends playing computer (each with paid MW5:Clans of the same version+DLC's).
MWO is a PvP game, so it's comparing apples and oranges.

Hey LordNothing,
As a fellow cheapskate, you provide very good advice sir.
I have disagree with your statement regarding (C) mechs however. Yes, in the past they were poor value but they many have been re-jigged and in my opinion offer the following benefits.
1) Unlike Hero mechs, (C) mechs are often better variants of a given chassis.
2) They usually have effective load-outs right out if the box, like DHS, endo and/or ferro, better engines and optimized weapons. This is especially true for battlemechs.
3) Now that they provide a 15% c-bill boost, they are better for farming once they are skilled up.
As you said earlier, play events to earn MC, then wait for a sale on the (C) rides. At 50% off the MC price they can be quite inexpensive and overall a better value than the Hero version of a given chassis.
Good hunting,

Indeed they do, but often you'll have to pay for upgrades like DHS, Endo/Ferro, weapons and the like. I wouldn't buy MC to purchase them but as you say, you can earn enough MC from events to pick one up. The (C) light mechs are pretty cheap.
