Though I will not be FRR I thought it most excellent that the devs remembered to stick to canon and listen to those who pointed out the nation that existed for about 20 years. It is important to have all relevant factions present for our arrival

Should the subforum be called, "House Magnusson," or am I missing something important? I will go read up on the wiki later, I guess, but if Rasalhague politics have been so tempestuous that the name would be inappropriate then it would be nice for some one in the know to explain it for the rest of us.

Well, the Prince is an Elected leader... so it would be a little nuts going by their last name as a "House".

In 2330 Draconis Combine invaded the "Principality of Rasalhague", 3 decades of Rasalhaugian Guerilla warfair later they where finally subdued and became part of the Draconis Combine, extreamly reluctantly though. Rasalhague contiued to be resistent and not wanting to conform and truely become part of Draconis, and would be a constant thorn in the side of Draconis, constantly causing trouble, uprising, and in general being the Draconis most rebellious citizens during the next 7 centuries.

Then during the Fourth Succession War that took place in 3028 to 3030 Lyran and Draconis battled each other, Rasalhague basicly helped Lyran by giving them both intel and uping their resistance to Draconis by causing trouble etc. After the end of this Succession War the outcome was that Rasalhague finaly got their independence from Draconis and formed the Free Rasalhague Republic in 3034. And to make sure that FRR would survive being squeezed in in the middle of these huge power and war hungry nations, FRR quickly adopted a scrupulous neutrality towards everyone.

Only 15 years after the formation of FRR though... the year of massive change comes around, and of course huge changes for FRR... 3049... the year the first initial attack from the Clan happends. They have said that MWO will be taking place during 3049, initialy atleast.

Grimm Wulf is a pretty new username for me, only used it since late January this year. This is only the second place I have used "Grimm Wulf" as my username though. The only other place I have used it, and still use it on, is on a game called "Cultures Online"... where in the game I am Grimm_Wulf (on all servers), and on the forum I am Grimm Wulf.

Naa... not a Wolfranger... do not know who they are. I have never really been part of the BT/MW communities online.

The only group I have ever been a member of was the TLL (The Living Legends) that was created to be a mercenary group for MWLL mod.

I was there for only a short time though, because I sort of got pulled away from (and forgot about) MWLL due to a lot of other games and tv-series etc. There is just to much stuff available out there that I want to play and/or watch, that I get easily distracted.

That is actually the main reason why I stop playing most games. Not because I stopped liking them or something, I still love most of them, but because of other games I want to play. The unfortunate thing about this is that I never really finish most of the games I play.

Dihm, how would it be any more nuts than calling an elected representative a "prince?" The hereditary connotation for both words is fading in the English language, but probably faster for "House" since English-speaking democracies seem to more often have a "House of Representatives" than a "Prince."

I am keenly aware that this is an entirely different kind of "house" than the others like Liao, but the leader's title IS "Prince," so I don't think it makes sense to pick semantic nits here. I was just curious as to why the naming convention was broken for this subforum when it seems to me that it could have been maintained. I wanted to make sure I get to know if the reason is not the one I think most obvious (the name would have to change every time the Prince changes ) and other newbs coming here to find out why no "house" get to see why, too.

I have that same problem as well... So many games I have not finished.

Especially the last... 6 or so years has been very high on the "not finished yet" list for me. The last game I played from start till finish was Mass Effect 2 shortly after it was released.

Cause it would, potentially, be changing all the time. The "Great Houses" are named after long dynastic lineages, which the FRR just doesn't fit. We could be called a "Successor State" I guess? Wars of Succession were over before we existed though, so we never took part.

small? i call it easy to defend! Sush with a defeatist attitude! It might get on the "cosy" side on the size factor but we are -still- there!

Not to mention that we grow immensly after a few decades with the whole Rasalhague Dominion thing!

Granted, not as big as we where when we where FRR, but still... not to mention the access to Clan tech now as well.
