OMG, flashing disappeared!!!

Finally I can play with THAT roughneck too.

So cool man. I look forward your experiments.
My system not very old, I can play with Nvidia max settings, but cooler fan going helicopter noisy mode, so I play low settings only.

If you want most of the look of very high but not the gpu load then set everything to low past textures which should be very high. Then use the same config and it will still look good but have most of the performance hog stuff turned off.

At the moment system not hot. All looking good.

One question. I used to play with PPC without long tail. Is it this parameter?

;----- Particle quality range is 1=low 4=very high -----
e_ParticlesQuality=4

Yes. Set it to 2 for very faint ppc trails or 1 to make all particle weapons effects very weak.

I think my system\gfx card had some trouble with some parts of the user.cfg

I followed the instructions, cleared, downloaded, etc...
Started MWO, load testing grounds two times WITHOUT problem.
Then either launch a game or testing grounds\academy again (the user.cfg loaded and work already) MWO crashes:
DXGI error.
Radeon centre drop me a message something overclocked the gpu\caused time-out.

OK... Rinse and repeat...
DXGI error, Radeon drop the same message...

Remove user.cfg's content except the "get-rid-of-blinding-AC-hits" line...
Works well ever since.
I am on Win7. I may try to re-add everything to user.cfg later and edit the registry (if the gpu time-out is true, that could be more or less solveable by editing registry settings).

Not sure the error trully related to the cfg but it's gone now. I thought I note that IF anyone else may has this error to.

Win7 64 bit SP1 ; Intel Core i7-3770 CPU (4-core) ; 16gb RAM ; AMD Radeon HD 7800
All hard drives are SSD ; all drivers are up to date (checked)

The tiny spider also moved from the PC (just kidding)

EDIT:
I know my GFXcard is 12 years old...

Oh haha. Yeah that config is probably tuned a weee bit too hot for that.

As an experiment reuse the same config but put all in game settings to low and textures to very high.

If that still crashes out again use all low settings and keep lowering the texture quality.

After that try n64 mode if its still crashing out.

Also try switching the render engine from dx9 to dx11 or vice versa.

If any of those work then I can probably retune the config to work on your system.
