I've just seen some more procedurally generated environments from Star Citizen recently with StarEngine and they look amazing and instantly thought about MWO.

That combined with centre of balance mechanics from Death Stranding got me thinking.
Anyway just hopeful for a greater fidelity MWO2 project in the future that goes all in.

MW5 has at least semi-procedurally generated maps, so its there. I'd guess that it will be abandoned in favor of over cluttered, channeled and boring arena maps.

Think it would probably be a pretty safe bet to say if they do follow through with a form of MWO2 that the only thing that will really improve is being ported to a new engine and the up front price. I wouldn't expect them to shift towards the more sim flow of MW5 or hire someone that has experience developing PVP balance.

They've also spent the better part of a decade distancing themselves from the community, so crowd funding and early sales are probably a hard sell for a new iteration. Also not sure they'd be able to even take the risk of early access on steam with that policy update that holds them to fulfilling roadmap markers.
