Steam/Youtube/(Epic? not sure if this game was posted there) live streams for the rest of the players/world that don't use twitch?
Some sort of master builds variant bundle on sale? A reasonably priced bundle of a selection of c-bill mechs for newer players?
Or just some other bundle sale - patterns, any of the cosmetics, bolt ons, cockpit items?
Cross-game sales? DLC + some sort of reinforcement pack.
10+ years in and you don't seem to want to put any effort into actually developing a marketing strategy beyond a post on the website and email to people that already play the game. If the community communication protocol is going to be at minimal interaction and/or forcing people into a variety of 3rd party social media sites then you need to be actually doing some marketing at the sales points and major live streaming services.
Are you going to be posting up the matches on a place like youtube during/after the fact to have some additional layer of promotional material out there?

On the event itself, as one other person mentioned it should probably be done in trial mechs otherwise this will quickly devolve into flamers, lbx and bulk srm/mrm spam just like most of the Solaris events trend towards. If you want an event worth promoting and hoping to pull some new players from Twitch it would be wise to make sure it isn't a bunch of boring lame-fest matches that you are streaming and actually something competitive.

It did not devolve into Brawl spam, it turns out that there are actually lots of good options outside of brawl for 1v1s, There's lots of good dakka and Laservom builds, and a lot of other cool options you can use, the only types of builds that would really be bad is long range low DPS options like ERLL, and also Lurms of course, I don't believe anyone brought flamers, maybe only one or two guys, and even though MRMs do a lot of damage they also spread lots so they didn't appear a lot either.
Also the masters were willing to do mirror 1v1s in a mech of the challengers choice if the challenger wanted and there was something specific they wanted to play, someone did a Stock Black Knight 1v1 with Jay Z.
And honestly with the small amount of trials it would probably be way more rock paper scissors with trials only anyway.
I think doing trials only would be really boring and would be very stale, the huge variety of builds that we saw made it way more entertaining imo, and made it a lot more interesting.
And it doesn't have to be super competitive anyway imo, it's not a tournament, it's supposed to be fun for everyone..

It's far more entertaining to watch (and fun to play) when someone brings out some screwball build. This isn't some ranked leaderboard, this is very specifically about having fun and putting your skills to the test against the best players in the game. Watching someone bring out a gigadrill and wondering if the enemy will be able to close in between shutdowns is where fun comes from. This doesn't usually devolve into Div A solaris Annihilator snorefests. As usual it seems the people complaining don't actually participate or even watch.
Loved the 2v2s also, those might be my favourite thing to watch. Love to see the crazy builds people bring and some of the tactical choices people make, especially cool when a team brings two very disparate build styles.

And thanks to Bows3r for entertaining my request for a mirror match

There is a lot of really satisfying skill expression in this game, and 1v1s are great for showing it off, and showing off the range of mechs people bring, from one-off gimmicks to serious comp mechs. Hope to see more of this kind of event.
The only feedback I have is if you could have the bot kick people after they are picked, that would be nice. And potentially lock people out of re-entering until you manually reset the queue. Just a couple small fixes that you're probably already aware of that could streamline things a bit

Saying that, we still lack an event promotion post from them. Feb mech is skipped. Maybe a duo mech + loot bag event for this month? Pattern selection for mechs was nice, can also offer wider spectrum of selection with patterns and/or colors. It can be a busy month with it potentially overlapping with Solaris EQ + full weight class sale (This duo is best way to introduce people into a weight class, have them familiarize themselves with it and tinker with chassis, builds, strategic play for different types of builds, etc. Still my favorite combination to date). For weight class, assault can be good to observe Stone Rhino and Mauler further I guess. I also remember selected chassis across all classes and changing queues between them. Option that introduces players to a class vs option that invites players from every class. Second sounds more inclusive. It can be good too, if you include best chassis/mechs in that list, so that everyone can access to best ones in every class and train their mechanics to play better against popular strong builds.

Twitch, especially when good players are streaming, can offer lessons to incorporate into one's own play.
