I guess I'm talking about the killstreak annoucements.
Killing Spree: 5 kills
Rampage: 10 kills
Dominating: 15 kills
Unstoppable: 20 kills
Godlike: 25 kills
Broke the Game: 30 kills
Fixed the game: 35 kills
Entered a new dimension: 40 kills
Went into oblivion: 50 kills
Reached infinite and beyond: 60 kills
Found the meaning of life: 70 kills
Came back to Earth: 75 kills
Became the first Quakecraft Prophet: 80 kills
Created an army of Quake players: 85 kills
Is now a Quake emperor: 90 kills
You sure have a lot of friends: 100 kills
Nice party you have there: 107 kills
I'm sure the halo list was influenced by quake even if they used different wording.

Those first five sound more like "Unreal Tournament (1999-type Edition)" territory... Perhaps some more back-and-forth happened there?
