Instead of making new mechs why can't we get more variants of already existing chassis like for the clan side mechs with Hag in their default configs and quirks directly for Hyper gauss? like th DWF-T and D config

as for the inner sphere maybve some mechs with the new weapons like the thunderbolt or other new weapons?

Like because a new chassis gives people "new content" thoughts and tends to bring more people into the fold when "my favorite mech" gets released into the game. A new variant, although much appreciated and sometimes needed, likely doesn't generate enough for the game to be a viable addition in most cases.

Though, I do want to close out that we have gotten additional variants of existing mechs on the occasion, so it isn't unheard of either.

new variants will be less work than new chassis though....

Oh. Agreed. However, that doesn't mean it generates the same income boon compared to a new mech being released.

Six of seven existing Dire Wolf configs in the game already have quirks that include boosting Hyper-assault Gauss rifles - often quite significantly.

I see no point in adding extra Dire Wolf configs that would do the same thing.

To support its short ranged weapons.

Easy to explain.

You can change weapons on your Clan OmniMechs too.

Actually, you can change not only your 'Mech's weapons, but you can change all OmniPods of your Clan OmniMech.to get entirely different set of hardpoints.

This is something you can not do on the JagerMech.

Then explain why it breaks the rules of heavy gauss and that pretty much says PGI can break any rules of battletech and that any limitations of the TT Game no longer apply to MWO because of that.

So clan omnis can change armor use IS weapons......

and the sphere can buy Clan omnipod weapons and use them on battlemechs.

heck why not just make all mechs omni at this point?!

MWO developer already gave you a very accurate answer regarding your request for unlocking of all Clan OmniMechs just a few days ago, in your very own thread.

Re-read the linked post here: Theoretically, it would be a balance nightmare. MWO is a game where we try to make clan and IS mechs equally viable via quirks, allowing clan mechs to equip whatever they want wherever they want when they already have a tonnage and slot advantage would sway the pendulum incredibly in favor of clans. ... ...
