Greetings MechWarriors!

This month’s update includes the release of the Gauntlet Booster Pack, 'mech adjustments, quirk adjustments, map adjustments, bug fixes, and more!

As always, a 2 week in-game Patch Science Sale (along with a streamer hunt for this month) will go live shortly after the patch and include all applicable items for testing.

'Mechs in-game and new 'mechs releasing are subject to future balance changes and tuning, so get out there and do the science so we can hear your feedback!

Gauntlet Booster Pack
The Gauntlet is an experimental OmniPod redux of the iconic Bushwacker 'Mech!
In this booster pack, you will receive five mechs. The GTL-1O(S), GTL-1O, GTL-1OA, GTL-1OB, and GTL-1OC. You will also receive a title, badge, 2 decals, cockpit items, and 200 GSP.
The Gauntlet will release for MC on October 21st, 2025 and for C-Bills on December 9th, 2025.

GTL-10 + GTL-10(S)

GTL-10A

GTL-10B

GTL-10C

The Gauntlet Mech Pack will be available in the MWO Store and on Steam.

Store Adjustments:

  • Grand Summoner released for C-Bills

Patch Files (Direct Download)

To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.

Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.

This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

Patch File(s): - TBA
Download the above file(s)
For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
Launch the MWO Portal
Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
Click the blue Patch button
The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch
Once the patch is complete, launch the game

If it's a light engine 275, why doesn't it have a heat sink slot in the engine?

Quick note: We are aware the Gauntlet 1OC has the wrong ammo equipped in the stock build. This will be fixed in the July patch.

Gauntlet is a 3128 mech which is post Jihad isn't it?

No TSEMP which is probably good, no MML which is... ? Not like we need more missiles. Every niche is filled at this point.

Frozen City now nighttime is kind of neato

still think there is room for an mml, as an is atm. high versatility at expense to efficiency. though i think clans still need a dumbfire midrange option as well. clan mrms dont seem right though, advanced rockets maybe (single high damage rockets with no spread, or how rockets should have been implemented from the get go). there are still a few holes in the weapon gamut, at least as far as missiles go.

Quickie 4H buff. Ok, appreciated, etc. It's the least crappy Quickie though. Not complaining just wondering why not the G or even the IV-4? Think I've seen 1 of each in game in the last year, but I see 4Hs pretty frequently.

What's with the ANH-1P armor nerf? The darn thing has its ballistic on the arms already (that also has no lower actuators), and it can't really afford 4AC5+large lasers, at most 6mediums.
I suppose some people run it with AC2s or the like+large laser+mediums instead.
Still, really sucks that the arms got mangled to only +2 armor just because people only care about the monoboob lasers.

Also yay, the PIR-1 got ammo quirks.

These are the correct rules for omnimech construction. The Gauntlet per official specs only has ten default heatsinks. On omnimechs additional heatsinks can only be added via external pods and thus not in the engine. For the same reason the 12 DHS and jumpjets cannot be modified on the Night Gyr, they are fixed equipment.

The ANH-1P was completely reverted, not buffed. Also, the best loadout on that for QP is 2 BLC 3 LPL single heat sinks.

Even on the IS side, it's pretty sad having only 2 kinds of missile builds worth ever using if you want to actually aim. Adding more dumbfire missiles would be the single best thing they could do for weapon variety, and a rework of rocket launchers would be nice too.

It's nice to see another IS Omni join the pack. I do hope eventually we can see the Avatar next since it's basically just an IS Mad Dog with both ECM (with the Avatar E hardpoints) and Jumpjets (with the A, F and BLO hardpoints). The Blackjack Omni and Firestarter Omni wouldn't be bad choices either.

The 1p is best built as high mount energy boating. So the strongest 1p builds are 2blc 3lpl or 4blc 2erml, with standard engine and mass single heat sinks, you can also do stuff like 4erppc or 4hppc which aren't as strong but still good.
It's all high mounted so it does not need extra armour, but it does need the heat.

or make Atms work within 60 meters at reduced damage say 1 or a little more damage per missile within 60 meters then ramp up from there?

or make IAtms which work within 60 meters? I dunno. maybe make IAtms work like the plasma cannon that increase the targets heat?? there's also the mag pulse warheads that maybe could function like a localized ecm or just cancel ecm? in addition to normal ATm damage brackets

Very positive about night time maps. Bring it more, esp. jungle (good for 300m range mechs and stealth, bad for sniping).

Bad I ll test it in the end of year, because I must go to journey to Jupiter.

ECM, Jump Jets, and eleven energy hardpoints. Gee I wonder which Gauntlet people are going to gravitate towards.

Also, didn't see the 10s supercharger at first. With the Top Speed and Acceleration quirks, this little guy is gonna be agile as hell.

And finally my precious baby gets released for C-Bills. Y'all 'bout to see me with an untold number of nonsense Nova Cat builds.
