He's trying to stat-shame me for having a bad month, where I almost exclusively played a new chassis with experimental builds - while inadvertently pointing out that he either doesn't play, or is using an alt to push nonsense on the forums. I am unimpressed.

I don't need an excuse - you can see from my other stats that this isn't my normal performance. But you don't have any performance. You're a nobody, a mouth - picking fights on the forums because you don't like that I had a good experience with a 'mech you crapped on without any experience of the current state of the game whatsoever. Your opinion is without worth.

Why not the existing inner sphere omnis that are actually cannon? Like the blackjack omni and firestarter omni? Like who pushed for this? Who wanted this?

The Gauntlet is a cannon OmniMech. It's just way out of the Civil War Era. PGI just used the Bushwacker due to the lore of it and to save up on resources after the massive layoffs they had.

A Firestarter Omni, BlackJack Omni and Avatar would be fire though (no pun intended).

The Gauntlet IS Canon, it's just Dark Age. And it got made because it's similar to the KU in the fact it shares most of its model with an existing one.

The other mechs you mentioned would take a significant amount more work to come out with, especially the Avatar and Sunder.

Unless it was in a deleted or edited post or another topic(shame on you for topic jumping), he never mentioned other mechs and omni black jack or firestarter would be very easy to make, just change a line of code like they did for the howl.

The Gauntlet is also a canon BattleTech design, just like some other existing Inner Sphere OmniMechs.

Probably somebody who wanted to give the MWO playerbase a new canon IS OmniMech, while keeping the production costs down thanks the reuse of the existing Bushwacker model.

Those two actually are a substantial amount different in their models compared to the KU and Gauntlet.

Neat! For the record, I still like the 'mech as-is, but it feels a bit underpowered sometimes. I'll be interested to see if the Cauldron buffs it the way I would.

Short question. Are Events for new mechs still a thing? The ones where you could earn extra paints an warhorns.

I remember the Fire Moth having such event, so I guess that such events still are a thing.
