Okay, now that Bane is available I want to buy one...
Just not sure which one?
Should I go for the 12xPAC2s Bane (14x APGs are meme but who knows! XD)?
Or the 8xLRM15s Bane with some extra ammo and a LAMS?
Or!
Is the lurmboat Bane a viable ATM-platform? I not ask if it's good for SRM-boating because it's slow and paper-built... Or not?
Any thoughts on this?

I usually see in my games either:
BANE-1: fifteen ballistic hardpoints... need we say more?
BANE-6: ECM version of BANE-1. XD

I think my vote would go for the Bane3 with 4xcLRM20s + 5xcSRM5s backed by a LAMS.

I'd start out with the ECM variant in order to get used to the Chassis. All Banes are set up as glass cannons, and everyone knows it. So, the concealment of that ECM system should help you avoid some of the preferential targeting that Banes receive.

I bought the Bane-3. 4xcLRM20s + 5xcSRM5s + cLAMS...
An odyssey to skill it: red arrow => back to T4, then green arrow => back to T3, rinse n repeat...
Interesting experience for sure...
BTW, did lurms changed? I remember it were easier to use them especially with direct LoS... Now it's a real pain to lock a light despite I directly see it, lock time seems atricious...
If they come close, the SRMs seems to work well on them though...

I'm doing very well with a Bane-1 [9 UAC2s] from TTB or [8 LBX2s] or [6 UAC5s] [6 LBX5s]. You can also try the Bane-2 [5 AC10s] also from TTB.

LRMs were changed, a long time ago. If memory serves, you have to hold lock on the actual 'mech model, and indirect locks take longer to acquire. I'd have to go hunting for the patch notes.
Your experience bouncing around tiers is typical, particularly for a build you're trying to skill up and get used to. Tier 3 and higher players are much better at dealing with LRM 'mechs, so when you're dropping in T3, the difference can be noticeable. Tier 3 is often called a gatekeeper tier, because that's the first tier players can be exposed to people in T1 - which includes the very best players, as well as the rest of us. So people will rank up to T3 and encounter radically different tactics, enacted with better skills; either they adapt and keep advancing, or they get battered back to T4 again. As you get used to the Bane and refine your skills, you'll eventually stay in T3 and start to rank up more consistently.
