Simple suggestion.

Instead of constantly flashing "Override Engaged" in the center of the screen the entire time the override is on, instead only flash the warning when the heat is >90% of the threshold and close to cooking your 'Mech.

Good idea, though I would set the threshold to around 75% of max heat so players have more warning before they fire off a big laser alpha strike.

It would also be nice if there was a config setting to automatically engage override at the start of a match. It would be disabled by default so noobs don't cook themselves. Long overdue quality of life enhancement.

On that vein of thought, why not just do what they did with "MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries" and the HUD in that environment? We could simply put it on top of MWO's Heat Meter as a small indicator with one word above the other. Then other needed messages could show up more often in HUD functions at the top of our view. It's definitely a solution which would work, so what do you folks think about it? :)

The last change of HUD happened years ago.

I do not think that means we should forget thinking about Quality-Of-Life Improvements here, right? After all, things like that Override Engaged Warning seem somewhat improperly placed in the HUD relative to others which should have more priority for top-center stage display? :o
