these things always make people forget how to play.

In any Event with significant rewards and lots of grinding, there's always a lot of "better" players coming out to play and get the rewards asap.

BUT in this Event, I would advise grinding for this asap.
Reason being that there'll be more and more MWO Comp players/teams playing in QP for live practice (and you are the guinea pig!)

the few matches i have played so far this event haven't been to bad outside the norm. then again as a T2 player i end with the comp crowd more often anyway. (man i miss being T3 with a decent enough population that the only T1s i had to deal with were in seal clubbing groups (ones where someone would make an alt just to drag the group average tier down))

just try and have fun as best you can. honesty i don't think i will ever understand the comp folks. a video game should be one's lifestyle, its just a fun distraction not a job. MWO never has been and never will be some great e-sports title.
