I know tier 4s that are probably better than you

Otherwise, looking at your long term win to loss ratio you are exactly where you need to be as far as tier gates go, assuming you don't play any better or worse in the future.

BS, Tier 1 plays with groups of tier 1 players , thus perpetually ensuring their inclusion in tier one. There will thus always be 50% of the pilot list walled off from the rest of the player base. The ratios enforced will keep one group of pilots always separated from another group of pilots. And, the ratios will ensure that the two groups will never meet. Because, tier one will never fall to tier two unless they retire.

Actually, I generally play solo, and I don't imagine I'm alone - how would you even know, anyway? You're Tier 4 at best. You have only your own prejudice as evidence that groups are not mixed-tier. Plus what are you babbling about? Ratios? If Tier 4 plays with literally every tier but Tier 1 (and they do,) then they play with about 89% of the population. I realize that statistics aren't intuitive to the human mind, but I expected you to grasp subtraction - I apologize for that mistake. There are no "ratios enforced," there are only the five matchmaking tiers - and the Tier you're complaining about not being matched in is the only one that (normally) can't match with the majority of the player base (this is a good thing.) Even then, during high wait times, the matchaker widens Tiers, so even you can play with Tier 1s on occasion.
So, all of this from you is BS - you're here to act out your inferiority complex and complain about not being able to play against a small percentage of the player base until you get better. None of your reasoning works; you can't do math, you can barely keep up with the Tier 4s and 5s you play with, and you think you're entitled to better because you started playing so long ago. Sorry, stud - you're going to have to earn it like the rest of us if you want to play with Tier 1. And if you do progress to Tier 1, you're not going to be allowed to beat up on the newbie tiers any more; sorry for your luck.

And you are just rude.

For some context I am a long time tier 1 player. Far from the best player in the game, but also (probably) not the worst player in tier 1 either. At least 100 players in this game are better than me. At my best I am about a div C grade comp player. And I barely play this game anymore, so I am somewhat rusty. Link to my Jarls for those interested: https://leaderboard....search?u=therax
This is my offer: a best of 5 1v1 on the Solaris map of your choice, in the mirrored trial mechs of your choice. If you beat me I will support your claim of being a tier 1 ready player. To take up my offer join the MWOComp Discord server here: https://discord.gg/fjY2Xrx4 and @therax to arrange a date and time.

Here are the facts -
Active accounts
Tier 1 - 11.71%
Tier 2 - 7.84%
Tier 3 - 18.76%
Tier 4 - 19.84%
Tier 5 - 41.83%
Matchmaker makes a match with a +/-2 tier spread by default right out of the gate. So, if you are in Tier 5 then you personally have access to 80.43% of the population right out of the gate. Far greater than 50%. If we were to include all accounts then Tier 5 alone would be 50%. You are not being improperly held back from matching with Tier 1s. Btw, if you're in Tier 4 (which means you match up to Tier 2 and down to 5), you would have access to 88.27% of the population right off the bat.
The average Tier 5 or 4 is not going to enjoy getting matched against Tier 1s (good or bad) so asking for the adjustment for yourself is not good.
Now, if you truly want to fight Tier 1s, look for the Event Queue tab. There is NO matchmaker in Event Queue. You can truly get the experience of going up against World Champions if that is your desire. The fights go how one logically expects them to go.

I stream something like once every three months to an average of two viewers. Even having this as content will not increase that number by a meaningful amount. My reason for wanting to streaming this it is that I have seen players that start losing 1v1s blaming lag, or hax, or make claims that they were not truly trying. And giving you access to my PoV with a minimal delay would allow you to learn and adjust your tactics between each drop.

If you truly believed this you would not be backing down from my challenge, which is designed to place us on a relatively even playing field and gives all of the potential advantages to you.
My offer still stands as is for any other tier 4 or 5 players who feel they are wrongly placed, or that just want to see how they stack up against a basic middle-of-the-road tier 1 player. Same goes for any 1%ers that are interested in demonstrating the skill gap that exists within tier 1. I know it won't take me much time to lose 5 out of 6 1v1s.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask, mostly to get a better impression of how you think.
What are your favorite Mechs?
What are your favorite weapons?
If you could pick only one Mech and weapon combo, what would that be?
How much back armor do you usually put on your Mechs?
What skills do you prioritize in the skill tree of your Mechs? Are any non-negotiable? If so, which ones?
How important is terrain to you?
Do you prefer to fight head-on, or peek and hide behind cover?
Do you look at your opponents while your weapons are reloading?
Do you prefer to stay with your team, or flank solo at unexpected angles?
I look forward to your response.
