The 6/24 Patch Notes say:
"Flamer Ventilation node renamed to Thermal Cycling. Thermal Cycling effect applies to both Flamers and Beams Lasers"
Which ones are Beam Lasers? Aren't all lasers beam lasers? Does this cover binary lasers?

Beam 'lasers' are retasked flamers with a new beam effect. So code wise they fall under the flamer quirk not laser. They renamed the flamer quirk to reflect this.

Nope.
Beam Lasers are a clan weapon, firing a continuous (purple!) beam.
Heat wise, they work kind of like flamers.

During continuous firing the heat bar ramps up, and when it hits red the heat is dramatically increased.
Just like flamers.

Because they are literally flamers with different stats. Exact same weapon they copy pasted and morphed.
