MWO has a steep learning curve: mech setup, mech positioning relative to Team and Enemy, tactics, etc.
(As a returning player myself a few years back, I literally did "1" damage with my Founder Atlas at one point! Other players were commenting me in the next game)
This works: I play solo, I play MWO silently with no speaker sounds, so I don't hear what others are trying to say--good or bad.
I don't play in groups. I ask a lot of questions on this forum, and with my Unit (Clan).
That said, playing with a good Unit (Clan) in the same time zone as you is the fastest way you can ask questions & learn.
Suggest you do reach out and give this a try, if you are into the social aspect of this game!

You've played for like 5 months and have a better than 1.0 W/L average running mostly medium mechs, better than my mediocre, solidly tier 1 (lol), playing mostly heavies, sorry ***. Give it up if you want, but you're probably better than most and this streak of "egregious" "stomps" will pass.

Work with builds that suite you and your play style. Some builds may require more patience than others. Some may require getting paint scratcheed a lot. Even try a different play style entirly. You might be surprised.

Sorry, just had to say it.

Take a break and come back.
Good hunting,

Take a break and come back when you don't care that your team abandons you to take cover just when you thought you were all moving forward to take out that lance around the corner.
In other words, just enjoy.

I wish you'd stick with it a bit. You will adapt to the T3 wall, and matches will be more and more fun as you do. But only you can calculate the opportunity costs for your time; if you'll take one final piece of advice - don't ditch your account. You may find that you want to try the game again in a few months, weeks, or years. I quit for years at one point, and came back relatively recently.

"if I wanted any lip from you I would have scraped it off my zipper" or "you have me confused with someone who gives a f@ck" I have played with a joystick and throttle since beta and basically just have fun and always said MWO the game where you hate your team more than the enemy LOL

Say it louder for the hard of hearing in the back man.
Sorry to see ya go. (seriously we need more players and any loss in the community is a blow) I hope ya come back, but I do understand that while you can improve yourself all you want its ultimately a team game. And match quality for awhile has been leaving alot to be desired. Not to mention the overall outlook and attitude given by the powers that be. (Referring to the git gud comments there....cause its over said...alot...by people who could give a hell less about anything outside their own lil circle....which just drives people away.)
Perhaps come back in a few months and see how things have changed. A break can always do wonders

Either way. Good luck and have fun out there...That is the original purpose of video games after all.

I see about the same amount as before, but now it's coming mostly from Assaults. The biggest increases I see are Heavies and Assaults using lighter mechs as meatshields, people stopping in chokepoints instead of pushing through them, people opening up the backs of their teammates, brainless Nascars... the usual Rookie-stuff. Watch the clock - if someone on your team is dead within the first minute, you know how the rest of the match is going to go.

I remember six in the last few days. Even had a recent match with two no damage players.
I only saw one zero damage during 8 vs 8 and that was a DC.

I will stay but my heart has not been in the game since 2019
it is what it is
they think a game is built on statistics instead of vision
I never played BT table top but I played plenty of other table top games
we called them Book case games
the best games we would say wouldn't it be cool if we could computerize these games
you see some of those games took an 1/2 hour looking up rules before there was movement
so the game evolved from two directions one was arcade games
the others are more complicated table top games
the Arcade games where simpler games designed to get money out of your pockets
the other games are more complicated and very hard to get right
Mech Warrior based off a TT idea but really are Arcade games
MWO is the same it promises the fun of a TT game but preforms like a rigged arcade game
once you start to cater to one group over another then the game is doomed
with modern computers you can boost or nerf any one person or group
imagine you are 1/12 of a team, a team you did not make but people crap on you because you lost
the cards are literally stacked against you
play as a 4 man can help but the computer won't even let you win as much as you should be
anyways it is what it is
you will get in the niche the computer wants you at if you stay long enough
good luck
