Don't count on it. Last year's nova cat had it's ECM removed by the Cauldron and Tiyos, Tiyos' explanation being they worried about giving ECM to a mech with 8 ballistic Hardpoints... which was hilarious because this happened while they were launching an ECM with 10 ballistic hardpoints at the same time, the Bane.
My point being lore, wisdom, balance, none of that matters to PGI's guys or the Cauldron goons who only want to warp the game to their game-play style without any interference, they will rip stuff out and ignore core aspect of a mech to suit their bias or to make sure it doesn't compete with a new mech launch.
Bane was LARGE and WIDE and SLOW. Novacat P wasn't those. Huntsman gets ECM.

The 75t Stalker being decent depends on how much quirk it gets for losing the tonnage (and a missile hardpoint) I guess. I'd imagine it gets at least some heat quirk.
And the PPC+LRM TBR I doubt will actually be used that way over the usual ECM mixpod builds too, also would need as much So8 quirks as the TBR-Prime (which also can already run its loadout albeit with slightly different[worse] weapon placement) to at least be decent.
The ECM Huntsman is eh, kind of whatever that will just be run with 2HLL+a bunch of ERMLs or whatever like PPC poptart. Nothing really new.
Weird way to spell out, "I'm okay with older stuff like Wolfhound-Grinner (that is already rarely ever seen) getting powercreeped!
Grinner is fine???

Also, lmfao. Cauldron actually balances right. What is their 'gameplay' style? Cause to me, they balance for the game, not themselves. Example, VoidKiller, the railgun clan bullshark, is getting nerfed this upcoming patch.
6 PAC2 timberwolf will be fun.
