I am very curious as to what this "Certain way" is.

Apache wins by virtue of having sheer stream of damage and ability to lock someone down from accurately firing back.

Spectre can't do that, and relies on light mech tactics without having the speed, agility, size, or alpha damage of a typical light mech.

None of these ways I have observed from effective Partial wing mech players involve "Hoverjetting around and signposting "Shoot me please", unless it was done from either absurdly high up that nobody would think to look, or it was 1v1 time at the end of the match, and they would have won vs stripped enemies regardless of what semi-competent build they had.

Finding angles where the enemy least expects it. I've pulled high damage games in the spectre

To me, it looks like it'll be delayed until the gremlins are fed after midnight, and they get the gerbils and hamsters to start running on one of those wheels. In either case, both are bad. I told Russ to get rid of those pesky Gremlins. . . but would he listen to me. . . . no.

Hmmm...

See I have no problems with changing the Rockets, I don't care.

I am curious and a bit concerned that this change is because they were deemed "polarizing" To who? I ask because a search of these official forums run by PGI has exactly 3 rocket based complaint threads since 2020. And none recently, but at the same time several weapons systems are called out here on the Official forums again and again and again and are always ignored by staff.

So to who and where do we complain about a weapon to get this special treatment?

I've spent the last 2 years collecting salt from oblivious noobs who cry 'hax' when they die to the javelin and telling them to have PGI change the game if they're so butthurt. So I've got a couple TB of game captures showing some reaheeheeheallly angry oblivious pilots with Main Character Syndrome.

I think its just this forum isn't worth it for some when you can have a more generalized server for all your interests like reddit.

enjoying the rockets so far, a good option for some mechs with extra missile hardpoint but not enough free tonnage, it complements certain loadouts well.

Were previous rockets polarizing?
I do think they were... most times I brought them or seen them deployed they either deleted someone at a cost of lengthy overheat... in many cases mech carrying them was a light that had nothing else and was meant to just trade for an assault and go back to lobby.
It felt amazing to score this backshot.
it felt *** to die to this kind of backshot.

They certainly seemed to polarize people both on discords, reddits, and alike... and have in mind - cauldron uses discord to gather data for patches.

As much as we could try to ponder how much skill was required to kill or avoid being killed this way the weapon had very high highs and very low lows... furthermore it was promoting way of playing where one had barely any regard to one's mech cause You could just press one button and in fraction of a second do all the damage You were ever gonna do.

Yeah, new launchers are a little odd and very different... but frankly... I'll take this over previous iteration any day.
I seen people ragequit throwing headseats over previous ones... especially when killer was equipped only with RL... it felt like "screw-you-in-particullar" button... and since the economy doesn't punish pilot for throwing mech away after one-shot thing there was nothing to calm pilot's nerves about it.

I personally gotta admit that as much as I did regard mechs equipped with only RL as mostly meme that went against the feel of the game I still brought one out every now and then.

I will not miss old RL being gone and would not want them back unless there'd be more incentive to not just throw a light mech away with 1-shot button.

Question - how does "Small Cockpit" work? It doesn't seem to be an option to apply in the mechlab. Or is it more of a new quirk that will be applied to certain chassis? An extra ton of weight to play with would be very useful in a lot of light mechs.

It's a locked equipment part that is/will be used in certain chassis, like the new Zero, the Blight and the Warlord.
