yesterday i face planted into a wall in a firemoth. right next to the city side tunnel entrance in river city. somewhere between the tunnel and the seaside ramp. i was able to get out of it, but i was stuck for quite some time.
though i attributed this to my starlink not working so great in blizzard conditions that we have had for the past several days.

what map is that?
Check the little MiniMap in that image. It appears to be Emerald Vale and D3/E3 area where this Map Bug happens to be. I'm actually a little shocked this happened to anyone.

There are a few places where if you faceplant a wall fast enough you will get stuck in it. Normally the game engine ejects you after a few seconds.

ive seen that one too. one of the solaris maps, i think the steiner map, once ran into the wall in a locust and was catapulted skyward. broke my legs on the way back.

Yes, it was Emerald Vale. I was jumping back and forth over the structure there while I was shooting at an enemy. I've done this dozens of times with no problem. This time the game stuttered and my jump didn't clear the structure. I got stuck inside it. Until my jump jets ran out of juice, I was able to turn a little. After that, all I could do was rotate my torso. My team folded really fast and I was the last one before they found me and killed me.
Will quitting and rejoining the match clear my mech, if this happens again? I detest quitting a match without cause. You never know if you will be able to get back in before it's over.

I do not know if recycling your client will help fix the issue. If you try that, then don't forget to power your Mech down while disconnected. At least that can make it harder to kill you before the in-game situation gets fixed.

my methodology is to move to all the mechs extents. turn legs, torso, everything. find the movements that slowly unstick your mech from the wall. eventually you will get unstuck. though there are places you cant get unstuck from. but i never found any.
