I tried the BJ-1DC with twin UAC5's and my god do they jam! They jam even when I'm not double tapping them! For some reason the right one jams ever other shot, most of the time. At the most it can get 3 shots out before jamming. WTH?!?

Anyone else having this problem?

Hum... in theory they should not jam a lot. On the testing ground they don't jam a lot. Haven't tested live, but they should not jam more...
Got any footage?

i think the problem is the server side rng doesnt reseed enough. if you have multiple guns in a group it seems like it does the same roll for all the weapons. so if i put multiple guns on a mech i put them in at least two groups and/or chain fire them and use a turbo macro just so it rolls a new number each time. not sure if it actually gives you more dps or just makes the jams less inconvenient.

No, no footage. Every time I try to record a match, everything becomes VERY laggy. Which is ood considering I have an AMD Radeon RX7900 XTX video card.

Jam rolls are made once the lobby is created. You can't force a reseed during a match by any means.

one seeding really should be enough for a match. but rolling the rng is different from seeding. problem is when weapons end up getting the same roll each salvo. you can have four guns and have them all jam at the same time, which should be highly improbable (about 1 out of 2600 salvos with 4 is uac5s). but you get a jam like that quite frequently.

yeah the jam issues are why i never run them unless the mech has heavy UAC quirks. it might just be me but it seems without it i spend more time jammed than not..

UACs jamming only really means in practice their shooting time per ammo ton (lower is good) is like only -25% less instead of -50% less were they jamless.

So like an UAC5 dumps out 1 ton of ammo (200 damage) in like 45 seconds on average when LB/AC5 would do so in like 60 seconds.

The jamming and heat (still better than most energy weapons anyway) you just have to suck up to since cutting the amount of shooting time needed to do just as much/more damage by that much is that invaluable.
And the heat you can manage by just not doubletapping really.

They only really start to suck with the UAC10/UAC20s (or C-UAC5 and on) being burst-fire which hurts their accuracy a lot, though the relevance of that only really sticks out when shooting faster lights/mediums.
