That's nice. You are one data point in a demographic - your personal recollections of your personal experience do not present compelling evidence that the buff is meaningless.

As a result of an unannounced quickfix being rolled out (and me thinking scheduled patch hadn't run its full course), I came to realize that MWO Repair Tool treats -mechloadouts\ directory, created at its default location inside game install folder, as "not needed by the game". Technically it's true, however I doubt ppl would be happy to lose it due to lack of attention.
Think before you click to fix the purported issues, ladies and gents.

That's good advice, but it leaves me with a question... What is that "-mechloadouts\" folder's full file path? (If your Windows ID shows up anywhere in it, just replace that part with "<UserID>" so you don't reveal that to us!) MWO's rather useful Repair Tool is capable of handling both the MWO Game Install and your MWO Profile Folder area simultaneously. This also leads me to ask... I sense you might have an unnecessary Repair Tool "Options" dialog checkbox currently active? :o
