but...I must say that I am not liking the way i am reading this. in the old system weight and space limited sensors, as makes sense to me, and i could choose to sacrifice weaps/armor/speed for intel on certain mechs and in certain situations. will wieght and space apply to this equipment now, and do these modules allow for a trade off of space with other systems like weapons? if wieght and space are basicly tossed out for a "role" pilot tree, i can no longer customize my roll by mech design alone. this is HUGE for me.
Will i be able to specialize in all trees eventually, so that i can pick and choose for different mechs and playstyles? it doesnt make much sense that a pilot being more experienced or in that "role" has magical secret tech in his pocket. like, my UAV now has magnetic sensing because i am a scout specialist of a certain rank would be horrible if it doesnt also come at a cost of wieght and/or space and c-bills, it would also be horrible if i have to trade say other unrelated "free" equipment targeting system for another type of mech from a differnt specalist tree that i can no longer access due to this specialization. this is not moder warfare....magicly not being seen by radar or extra knife distance with the same equipment makes absolutely no sense. am i reading it wrong?
also, UAV is okay because somebody pilots it, and that takes someobody kind of out of the game to get that crazy vital intel, but satelite scans seem like free intel. please take it easy on the amount of satelite scans available. i would prefer them only for say a sat feeding intel to defenders of a larger well defined base, not just hey i have a specialty or i called in a sat link for some other contrived reason. that intel is way too valuable for that to just hand out at no scenario relevance or much cost to your mech set up. for instance, the info is so valuable in my opinion, that i would even consider dropping all weapons and just sitting in a corner providing a sat link to the team. if it cost a couple tones, one will be on every team and the whole awesome LOSD limitations are gone.
Will it basically take a mech out of battle, like UAV piloting, to do the surveillance set ups? much the same reasoning here as the sat link because the full info on enemy troop deployments is real huge.
are there any down sides to disruptors? like any powerfull disruptor will probably take out your own ability to relay info to your own team?
please be not incredably accurate on the damage displayed.
thanks,

It's an Unmanned Aerial Vechicle.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), also known as a unmanned aircraft system (UAS), remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) or unmanned aircraft, is a machine which functions either by the remote control of a navigator, or pilot (called a Combat Systems Officer on UCAVs) or autonomously, that is, as a self-directing entity.
