In MW4 I striped a novacat of all its weapons, armor and heatsinks than added as many ER large pulse lasers as would fit and put the extra tonnage into speed. With invincabilty on and heat off it was an 80kph moster that could kill light mechs in 3 seconds.

I took an archer, ripped out the lrm-20 racks and installed 8 lrm5's with Thunder ammo . . . Annoyed the hell outta my opponent who had a star of Dashers :D

Made a 100 ton Ultimate Rifleman with a PPC and a Gauss in each arm, with 5 med lasers in the torso. Took the arm actuators out so it could flip its arms just like the original Rifleman (this was before the Devastator came out).

MW4:M - Supernova with 16 medium pulse lasers. Try it :D

It is more sustainable with only 12 lasers, though.

I found a 400-Damage Alpha Strike in MW4:M...anyone interested?

It has something to do with a 64kph Kodiak with 10 Artillery Beacon pods. Now that's properly silly.

Mektek release of MW4: Mercs has 'targetting lasers'... they're like continuous beam lasers, only with extremely low damage and heat. Still, a Nova Cat with a maximum of targetting lasers can only fire for about 3-4 seconds. So, I went and replaced some lasers with heatsinks until I could shoot for about 10 seconds without overheating. Well... It can kill vehicles and light mechs, but struggles against mediums and heavier mechs.

I also made a 25t TT mech with 4 m-pods. It can deliver 60 damage once at 1 hex distance.

My own version of an Annihilator:

4x RAC5's
3x MPLasers

It is kinda silly, as the ammo is limited...but it was a LOT of fun! :D

I made one it is weird and awesome I made a 15 ton mech that went 30 hexes with masc, had full armor (FF) for size and only 2 small lasers. It was fun to scout with and easy to backstab! I'd have to say the best moment with it was when I took out a 35 ton Jenner in 2 turns with my mech. Which is insane because it is twice the weight of mine, I was very lucky to get criticals!

i took a stock puma with 2 er ppcs and 2 flamers, and made it with 16 flamers and as many heat sinks as it could hold along with top speed. ild run up on you all passive from behind and ****, and cook you off in 2 seconds flat.

In the MW2 age I had a small network and played a bit of netmech. i was a big min maxer and what i found, in MW2 age anyway, was the best weight to damage ratio was actually Machine guns... load up a 100 ton mech with as much armour and speed as you could with 10 machine guns...

i often had under weight mechs that would be a fair bit faster than my mates 100 ton ppc machine... surfice to say if i could get in range, his mech would be like so much multch

MW3, turned off heat and ammo, and loaded an Annihilator with as many LRM20s as I could. Every shot caused momentary lag from all the smoke and missiles in the air.

Running Claymore - using the full X-Tech options of TacOps. created a unit as fast as the fire moth armed with nothing more than 20 M-Pods
You have to roll 40 dices to resolve the pods that hit - thanks to its -1modificator at short range must be a lot
after that up to 300 rolls where the bullets hit the target
and as you see a maximal damage of 300 allows you virtually to remove any mech on the field - but at least 200 hits is more than enough to kill almost every mech - thanks to math (200 hits mean 5,56 head shots and 5,56 critical hits)

I can't remember which MechWarrior game it was but I recall one shotting even the heaviest mechs with a Raven decked out in Inferno launchers and flamers. The key was to get in close and get a shot off. The heat would cause the Mechs ammo and core to explode in bout two seconds. It even took out mechs without ammo by driving the heat scale to the max. Of course it was a glass cannon and any big hit would take it out. It was fun annoying the heck out of other players in heavies and assaults when they kept getting taken out by a little Raven. I used to call it the Bacon Mech because it would make a sizzling noise when you hit a mech with all that heat.
