The year is 3044. The location: a small border colony near the edge of FRR space. "Jean Owen" has pulled every string and called in every favor at his disposal to set up a special job, and he's looking for the roughest band of outlaws this side of the Periphery to help him take the prize.

Date of Birth/Age: January, 26th 3010, aged 34 years,
Current Mech: Frankenmech. A mongrel of a mech assembled from the husks of several different mechs and models. It's basicly a Chameleon with parts from the Raven, Phoenix Hawk, Madrauder, and Chameleon.
House Affiliation: Capellan Confederation (I'm a fanboy, deal with it.)
Military History: Is not open much about his military history, but it's apparent that he's had training in advanced infantry tactics, and has shown great skill in demolitions, small arms, electronics, communications and hand to hand combat. If asked about these skills, he'll say something about once being with the 'Nightriders' regiment of MaCarron's Armored Calvary. Displaying mediocre skill as a mechwarrior Nikoli partook (along with other unscrupious mechwarriors ) in the raid on New Ivaarsen During the war of '39. Where he displayed skill as an electric warfare specialist. Since then he's stuck with the small group of survivors from the raid as the newly formed Tombstone Barbershop Quartet, a small group of warriors skilled at unconventional tactics and psychological warfare. And experts in asset location and retrieval (i.e. pillaging and looting)
Physical Description: Tall and lean with wiry muscles. The man is heavily covered with Russian Gulag/prison tattoo's displaying some connection to the remnants of the Russian mob, he won't talk about it though. Is always emaculatly clean, yet still looks greasy, with oily dark brown hair slicked back. Deep blue eyes. While not on assignment he dresses in an assortment of emaculate black suits, black shirt, black vest, black tie, and exotic black leather shoes. When he does have an assignment he dresses in the more traditional garm of a mechwarrior, but has taken to wearing a flakvest over his coolant vest in the cockpit since his escape from Menke. Arms himself with a Nambu Autopistol
Open Background: Born Tiknograd, Tikonov, Capellan Confederation. The son of one of Earthworks chief design engineer's young Nikoli was blessed with opertunities, an advanced education which led to the prestigious Sian University. On the eve of graduation was arrested for theft. Was sentenced to seven years of hard labor on Menke, where he was initiated into the Russian mob. On release he worked with several mercenary units as a technician before landing a spot with MaCarron's Armored Calrary. One day he took one of of the new Raven designs out for a test run and made a break for it. Though the Raven was shot up, and himself injuried, he eluded capture and location for two weeks before escaping on a Ceres Metals dropship bound for St. Ives.
Deep Background: During his education at Sian University, Nicoli was recruited by the Maskinrovka. His first assignment was to gain access to and cripple the mob from within. The arrest and jail sentence was the cover story used. No one knows why he went rogue shortly after completing that assignment. Is considered a Rogue agent by the Maskinrovka. To the MASK Nikoli is considered armed and dangerous and have issued the order to shoot on sight.

Bio: Gin Teriyaki was born to Qui-Gon Teriyaki, a minor nobleman, a Tai-i in the DCMS, and the son of Tai-sa Minobu Teriyaki, a military official in charge of multiple planets along the Federated Commonwealth Border, and Isabella Kurita, a distant relative of the Coordinator. He was unusual for a Kurita due to his European features. He received these traits from his grandmother on his father's side. She was distantly related to the Steiner family via an illegitimate child of Allesandro Steiner. The distinctively European features set him apart from most of the noble children in the area, and as a result he grew up as a loner. He did have a knack for just about anything he attempted however. He was loved by the people of the nearby village of Narama, which was located about 5 miles from the mansion he lived in. They were honored at the kindness a Kurita showed them at every opportunity, even such an odd Kurita as him.

At the age of 17 he was accepted at the Sun Zhang military academy. Once at the academy, he was ridiculed for his appearance. The students could not seem to accept that a Kurita could look anything but like a pure Japanese person. However, protests were silenced when Gin pulled some of the highest grades that the academy had ever seen. He even won the school's yearly Kendo and martial arts tournaments every year he was at the academy, though the school does not acknowledge it anymore. He was even rumored to have been approached by Subhash Indrahar to join either the ISF or become a DEST commando during his final year at the academy. However, fate had decided to take his life on an extremely different course.

In Gin's final year at the academy a scandal was discovered on Al Nair. Ticonderoga Kurita, Gin's Uncle and Isabella's eldest brother, and Minobu Teriyaki, Gin's grandfather, were tied to a plot to gain de-facto control over several additional worlds in the area and hopefully to secure Ticonderoga as the next warlord of the Dieron Military District. The resulting disgrace ruined the families's prospects. Qui-Gon and Isabella would both commit seppeku in the coming months over the shame of the incident.

Exactly one month before the final exams for graduation Gin was expelled from the academy. The Headmaster of the Academy was a longtime enemy of Tai-sa Minobu. He altered Gin's file in an attempt to blackball Gin from ever having a place in the DCMS. Not content to do just that he also ordered four teachers and around thirty students to accoast him. They succeeded, at the cost of one paralyzed teacher, 7 dead students, and numerous broken bones. Gin suffered breaks to around a fifth of the bones in his body, a collapsed lung, and lacerations to his kidney. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks. While he was in the hospital, he laid out a daring plan to possibly salvage his situation. However, Gin realized that he had no future left in the Combine. So he designed his plan around the point that he was going to emigrate to another successor state. He eventually chose House Steiner due to his blood connections.

But before he left he had a few people he would have to get even with. Within a week of getting out of the hospital every single one of the staff, and all but a single student, who had attacked him was gone without a trace. The one student who remained was disfigured beyond comparison, with both eyes, his nose, his tongue, his genitals, and his hands removed. He was left with a message written on the wall behind him in blood. "This is the price of betrayal." The Headmaster ordered that Gin be found, but he was off planet already, he had even stolen the Headmaster's mech, a 75 ton Black Knight that Gin had named "Dishonored". Around this time a video showed up on the planet's net that showed the Headmaster having a good time with a horse, in addition to documents proving several black market trades and a racketeering ring the Headmaster had set up to line his own pocket with more wealth. He was eventually forced to resign.

Once out of the academy, Gin decided to erase his existence in the combine as much as possible, he managed to destroy every single complete record of the Kurita family, which was never connected to him, destroy his childhood home, they knew about this one, and even unleash a virus that crippled Luthien's transportation network as well as completely delete the files the ISF had on him and millions of others combine citizens. To top it all off he even managed to steal top secret documents from the coordinator's personal computer, this was connected to him after he had left the combine. On a bit more personal note he secretly stole the finest katana and wakazhasi that was supposed to be given out at the Sun Zhang Academy graduation, as well as sabotaged the rest of them to break on all but the smoothest draws.

When he finally made it out of the combine at Port Moseby, he immediately attempted to contact the Steiner government hoping for asylum. However his first contact with anything larger than the local government was a Loki agent who had been following him since his spree on Luthien. The Loki agent attempted to seize the documents that Gin intended to use as a bargaining chip. He however gravely underestimated Gin. The Loki agent did not survive to learn from his mistake. However a lohengrin agent was in the area and saw the fight. He managed to arrange a meeting between Gin and the local military commander. But before the meeting Gin realized that keeping his name was tantamount to suicide. To get rid of his disgraced name he decided to go with something that was not a true name at all. It was simply the first five digits of the identification code on the sword stand he had bought for his blades.

After his meeting with the general, Dal10 as he was now called was conducted to Skye where he met with Andrew Redburn and Morgan Hasek-Davion. They agreed to recommend that Hanse Davion grant him asylum after reviewing the documents Dal10 had stolen. To comply with his request to stay a mechwarrior they assigned him to the 3rd Skye Rangers. He was a peace for a while though he was untrusted by his unit due to his Drac heritage. However after greatly embarrassing the Combine it was decided that Dal10 could not continue living. Over the last 3 years, which he has lived in the Commonwealth, there were over 200 attempts on his life. As a result Dal10 has an intense sense of paranoia whenever he is in a crowd. He rarely ventures into cities. One good thing that has happened to him was that his unit proceed to trust him like they would any other soldier in the unit. They figured any Drac who pissed off the Coordinator so much that he had ordered sent that many assassination attempts must be a good guy.

Special Note: Dal10 is proficient with most handheld weapons. He is also extremely proficient in the art of kendo. He is considered a master of fourteen types of Kung-fu, and is purportedly a master of the Drunken Fist, which has never been confirmed.

also if he is op i can make a story about how he got hit in the head to weaken him to dealable levels.

edit: never made a description of clothing he generally wears an heavy duty cloak that covers his katanas and his gun (a heavy gyrojet gun if allowed if not then it is gonna be one HEAVY duty riot shotgun) and his sunbeam nova laser pistol. underneath the cloak he is wearing a mechwarriors coolant suit with the tubes stripped out under a light leather jacket. and loose pants that allow him full mobility. he is also wearing a utility belt that has a number of weird tricks up it's sleeve. (i got the tricks planned out just don't want to reveal them yet.) (note i do not carry bio weapons. they are just weird and useful objects in it. such as metal playing cards that slide in a throwing card position and turn into vibro-throwing stars when thrown. i think they will be fun to trick people with. note they only got enough power to be used a vibrostars once before they need to be recharged.)

Name: Dirk Bradbury
Callsign: His neurohelmet bears the name "Hammer" but he can't remember the last time the Quartet referred to him as such. On the comms or off, he is usually forced to go by 'Kid', 'Scatterbrain' or just plain 'Brains'. Usually depending on how much the others want something from him at that moment.
Date of Birth/Age: September 2nd, 3014, Just about to turn 30.
Current Mech: Helepolis HEP-3H "Messer". Drops the Large Laser to a medium, LRM 10 to an LRM 5, SRM 6 removed. Top Speed of 64.8kph.
House Affiliation: None. Hails from the Lyran Commonwealth, but never particularly cared for nationalities or other such abstract concepts.
Military History: Began a scholarship at NAIS when he was 18 in 3032, straight out of school in mechanics. Transferred to Battlemech Technology in his first year. Dropped from the course. Reenrolled in Electrical Engineering in Aerospace Design in his second year, and was kicked from the course when it was found he had spend three months attending modules in Applied Particle Physics for Laser Based Weaponry. This trend continued, with Dirk starting and stopping courses as his attention was grabbed by newer and more 'shiny' things. Eventually in his fourth year, he successfully finished a year of a course on battlemech training - but was booted from the academy in his fourth year when he was caught stealing components from the university's training mechs to 'Test a theory'. What the theory was, he never told the university - but they did receive a letter in 3039 saying 'It worked - Good thing the FedCom started a war for me to test it in. -Dirk.'
Dirk was a founding member of the Tombstone Barbershop Quartet during the DC attack on New Ivaarsen in 3039. Since then, the Quartet has found Dirk to be a 'Human Swiss Army Knife of Discarded Hobbies'. More than once the Quartet has fled behind the safety of thick walls as Dirk muttered something like:
"Demolitions? I spent a couple of days making fireworks once. Lemme see. Oh, I like this. And that. Don't know what that does. Hmmm...which wire is it goes here? Stand back please, this'll either work or it won't..."
Sierra has been known to comment that there is a frighteningly small amount of things Dirk hasn't tried to break at least once or doesn't have a plan to do so that he simply hasn't had the chance to try yet.
Physical description: Roughly average height with short brown/blonde hair, blue eyes and glasses. Heavily scarred, burned, and calloused hands and arms. His face and several other parts of his body bear scars shaped oddly like drops of spattered liquid or small splinters. If pressed, Dirk will somewhat sheepishly admit that he often gets so excited he completely forgets to use safety gear before he breaks out the arc welders and other dangerous tools. Tends to wear ratty, comfortable and durable clothes. His trousers and long heavy jacket look not unlike that of a fireman's - the rest of the quartet roll their eyes if asked but Dirk says he doesn't like to be slowed down by the need to get changed when he has an idea. They're unclean, pitted, burned, and much repaired - and full of assorted tools, pens, pencils and paper. He does not technically carry a weapon, but has broken out wrenches, stanley knives and even a hand held blowtorch from the depths of his pockets in the past.
Open Background: Dirk has severe ADD, which causes as many problems as it solves. Highly intelligent, Dirk spends much time reading as many books as he can get his hands on - usually for less than an hour before he scampers off scribbling on a crumpled notepad muttering to himself. The Quartet more often find him stripping a mech of the weapon he was supposed to reload "because I can make it better, look!" than actually reloading it. In combat, he's nearly always the first to lay eyes on an enemy, but is also difficult to force to stay on target. Still, the Quartet finds it useful to have a resident mad scientist in the unit with no moral qualms about anything. The extra babysitting required tends to pay off, eventually.

His mech, Messer, is another tale. On a fairly routine mission in the Sarna March, on the war torn world of 'Small World', the Tombstone Barbershop Quartet were involved in heavy mountain fighting, committing headhunting missions for the Duchy of Oriente. While fighting through a particularly infamous pass, a rockslide was triggered. The Barbershop had chosen their ground well, triggering their jump jets to get out of the way, and their opponents were crushed. The slide however, bore unexpected fruit, a battered and crushed mech poking out of the rubble. Curious, Dirk Bradbury piloted his Shadow Hawk to the wreck, and despite protests from the rest of the Quartet, began to pull it out. As the ruined mech began to take shape, it was recognised by another member of the Quartet and Dirk decided to salvage it. Dragging it clear of the pass while the remainder of the Quartet swiftly began their own roles in salvage, the Helepolis was evacuated by one of the carrier VTOLs.
Upon completion of their mission and returning to base, the Quartet's chief tech informed Dirk that the Helepolis' damage was not too extreme, and it could be salvaged - if they could find the parts, or at least some they could jury rig to work. It took three long years, the sniper needing entirely replaced, parts bought from collectors, antique dealers, and others undergoing extensive work before they could be fitted to the ancient design. A new engine had to be fitted, with the old one shattered Dirk decided to upgrade it to keep pace with the rest of the group. Dropping several of original weapons, he had a standard 300 engine installed, giving it a top speed of 64.8 kph. The new weapons load sees the Sniper mounted between the right arm and torso, an LRM5 on the left torso, a medium laser each in the left arm and head, with 2 tonnes of Sniper and 1 tonne LRM ammo with C.A.S.E. in the left torso. Three jump jets, one in each leg and one in the centre torso round out the mech, giving it a jump range of 90m, allowing Dirk to align with the quartet's manoeuvre based style of fighting. However, he is worried that he can't quite keep pace with the rest of the unit, and fears being caught alone or left behind.

Deep Background: Secretly, or so he thinks, Dirk desperately seeks for the approval of those around him. Whether he was unloved as a child or simply wants someone to appreciate his designs no one knows, but it doesn't matter. If accompanied by his friends, this isn't a problem, but alone...Of all the Quartet, Dirk is the one most likely to break under pressure.

Faction Affiliation: None (Former DCMS)
Military History: Former Combine Special Forces Sniper.
Criminal History: After serving time in the DCMSSF, Kazzen racked up quite a resume as a general outlaw and mercenary. Crimes to include, murder, grand larceny, arson, destruction of government property, corporate espionage, public intoxication, public indecency, grand theft mech and littering.
Mech: Jenner (Named "Sovereign Outlaw")
Mech History: Stolen right off the factory floor, the Sovereign Outlaw was used by Kazzen as a getaway vehicle after planting charges withing the facility. Unfortunately, he had no prior pilot training and barely made it out of there before the bombs blew. The Jenner surprisingly took little damage from the sloppy escape and Kazzen has been piloting it ever since.


This is alot shorter than everyone elses but I figured we have enough reading as is and I prefer to leave my characters a little open for development when I first RP as them.

Background: Noone knows for sure where Spitfire comes from and only few know her well enough to know her real name. Some say she defected from the 1st Kathil Ulans, drawing conclusion from her Mech, others say she killed the original pilot with her bare hands. Joining a well known merc squad she worked her way trough serveral paramilitary coalitions, to Pirate gangs and headhunters. She allways left with an explosive goodbye and dead bodies. Some say, she killed more people than she has hair on her head, though this may be exaggerated, one thing is sure- she is wanted mostly dead by more than half a dozen merc squads and security enterprises. For her, there is no such thing as stealth and nothing is indestructible. She is well known for her knowledge of explosives and breaching defenses and quite a few agencies hired her to blast stuff or just to get a good show.
Likes: Scotch, cigars, her Atlas, a reasonable amount of trouble.
Dislikes: Liars, being cheatet on.
Psychic Description : As much as she is a skilled ´Mech pilot, she is an agressive person. Mostly monosyllabic and quiet she has absolutely no problem with an open fight, no matter where she is. She stays calm whatever the odds and mostly responds with sharp irony.

so so far we got a frankenraven a atlas a catapult a black knight and a jenner and whatever a heleopolis is. can't say i am familiar with that model.

It's an uncommon artillary mech that mounts a Sniper. It became extinct during the SW's. It wasn't popular or even liked back then.
