Most people call multiple Atlas, "AwSh!t"! Me... I call 'em The Revenants (AKA 10th Lyran Guards)!

Thank you for your time.

This is correct. Also, to show property you would write Atlas' and Atlases' not Atlas's or Atlases's. Typically if something already ends with an S you simply drop the ' on it to show ownership. I e These are James' Mechs. It is not James's.

As a classics student, I feel the need to point out that "Atlas" as in the name of the Titan, is a proper name and therefore has no plural declension in the original Greek or its Latin derivatives. We cannot extrapolate plural endings from similar words in the classical languages. As a result, "Atlases" is surely the correct answer, referring to multiples of the "Atlas." Unless you're speaking in another language, in which case you should follow local convention.

Believe it or not, the plural of Atlas has been debated by the BT community for over twenty years. It is nothing new. All that matters is that the correct Battletech usage is Atlases.

Does that mean plural Mongoose mechs is Mongeese? And a lance of them is a mongaggle?

Scout: Okay sir, I have 3 atli and a highlander crossing the river, repeat full assult lance crossing the river 2 klicks north of your position.

Lance leader: Roger, can you confirm your report? a highlander and 3 what now?

Scout: Three atli sir, heading straight towards your position.

Lance leader: Atli, okay. That's that new Davion design right?

Scout: What? no. Atli. Plural for atlas. they are now 1.5 klicks north of you.

Lance leader: Oh, okay. you mean atlases. Yea, ok. Got it. And what was that other mech with them?

*Highlander notices scout mech and starts moving towards it*

Scout: Atlases? What? No, the proper term is atli sir. It is plural for atlas.

Lance leader: That doesn't even make sense. Besides, I looked it up just the other day on the dictionary and it said the plural was atlases.

Scout: Yea, but did that apply to the mech Atlas?

Atlas commander: wait for it... now!

*Highlander activates jump jets*

Lance leader: Look, we can settle this latter. Just tell me what the fourth mech is and where there currently are.

Scout: Okay. hold on. Oh snap!

***HIGHLANDER BURIAL***

Atlas commander: Open fire!

*60 LRMs swarm through the air*

Lance leader: Uh-oh.
