You're right, the thing that actually wins battles are brave pilots using them to their full potential.
Not like yours, which is just mindless throwing yourself against the wall. It will shatter, eventually.

ED: and by "that", I mean the gaudiest scheme I've ever concocted
ED: I shall post to this thread no more without including a repaint.

well I like it.....................
Haha, awesome, you did post it.
The scheme is a skew of the Coyote's Delta (?) Galaxy with a hint of the orange from the Insignia that I submitted. Its really awesome and while Hayden thinks its gaudy, I think its awesome. =D

You forgot to add a "Lucky 13" somewhere!
Well done BTW.

What about the 13 on his leg?
I think he meant having the saying "Lucky 13" somewhere on it, not just the number.
On a side not, this seems to be the first thread I check coming onto this forum now. I've been doing it for a while too without paying it much attention. This thread is the reason I come to the forums hahaha.

For you my friends. If you do want to do me the honor of throwing a few of your colorful and imaginative designs on that revamped and modernized trashcan, by all means do feel free. The template was made 'a la' Hayden, Father of this almighty thread. Specific features of this template:
- Fan made Coliseum background
- New UrbanMech, complete with latest touchups and design corrections
- Color base layer has been 'hollowed' on most bare metal parts, including paint scratches
Garth will love to see more Urbies around his forums. It's an obsession of some sort. Probably respects them because they comply to school zone speed limits.
Have fun!

#1 - Do some of you remember Swift?
This is the 'Mech she'd be piloting...
#2: EDIT - FD Atlas template updated and altered to accommodate for insignia on the legs. An additional Capellan 'Mech (friend Thunderbird tells me I have to stop painting the bad guys...) This time, from House Rakshasa; I wanted to paint that 'Mech since I redid their insignia (what, you haven't seen Hayden's other great thread re:Insiginas??) Anywho, they are not well known and their House was destroyed circa 3075, but they got this coolest insignia design (not mine - I just redid it and colored it.) You can consult the original paint job and camo specs here. Enjoy!
#3: EDIT - Adding another bad guy: a Tikhonov 1st Republican Atlas. Improved as per lxxxl's constructive comments. Also did a few corrections and touch-ups for a more accurate rendition. Note the custom lance insignia design.
#4 and last one for a while: another House Rakshasa 'Mech. This time a Catapult, dedicated to Adridos.

And the repaint is beautiful, would not like to get owned by this mech (that would be embarasing), but I will not pilot an Atlas, so I should have no problems, right?

Contradiction based humor. No Atlas, no problem, except if you stand between us and our paycheck!

Umm... call me "Mr. Picky"... but it's 3048! The "Lyran Commonwealth" don't exist anymore since it has been replaced by the "Federated Commonwealth."
Nevertheless, really nice work! Even if you failed as a historian, you're a helluva painter!

Nice, two Liao mechs.
They are nice and all, BUT why on Earthh do you put that scheme on an Atlas?!

If you'd allow me comment on 'Mechs inscriptions you do over some 'Mechs (I'm speaking about Tikhonov 1st Republican Atlas). Tikhonov Republic has legacy of Soviet Union in BT universe AFAIK. So, if you are interested in some comment on what to inscribe, here you are:
There was no tradition in Soviet army to inscribe simple words like 'власть', 'прочность' over armored vehicles, instead, personalized tanks and armored columns wore names of organizations bought vehicles or names given by grantors in memorial of someone/something.
Here are some examples:
personalized soviet tanks during WW II
I think you'll like that ('Беспощадный' - Ruthless / Merciless):
soviet personalized armored columns during WW II
I grant you, that you could bring lot of 'lulz' for russian MWO community by creating Atlas belonging to 'Челябинские колхозники' lance of Tikhonov 1st Republican
P.S. Just take my post as attempt to spent time while waiting for MWO release))

Nice job
But Tikonov at this time is part of the Federated Suns, Not the Lyran Alliance . As its a former Capellan world it could never be part of the Steiner domain UNLESS of course they happened to invade the Davion worlds taking Terra onthe way through
But very nicely done none the less.
