It's green, it'đ nice and while not Capellan, at least it's our allies. :(

Really nice repaint. I can't wait to see Hayden's and Ironhawk's take on it.

OK. 1-Status on Cicada: huge meeting tomorrow and need to sleep early. FD's template is superb but has those 'nasty' camo shapes on it and requires a considerable amount of time to clean-up. Want to do a proper job so work will continue later.

2- Weird alter ego episode with a friend yesterday, who does not seem to believe that his friend is Ironhawk. So much of a friend! I promised him I'd post a 17th Avalon Hussars Raven as proof. Here goes...

slideshow updated, I'll post some repaint numbers once we get a few more cic's and ravens.

Nice work as always gents.

***edits*** IH asked for the slideshow to be reposted to celebrate the 100 pages of epic work being done...I agree:

Thanks Kaemon. That slideshow is great (should repost the address to celebrate 100 pages of thread...)

Funny notion. Not sure our fan art is as popular as it should be in these forums (compared to some other threads). Maybe it's those guys at NGNG. Thanks to Sean Lang and the NGNG crew for creating a gallery and featuring Hartsblade's and my work. They will most certainly add work from others as well pretty soon.

Are you talking about "that" thread over in the Jettisoned...?

Also, can I ask for one last Capellan repaint? I know you probably had enough Capellan paintworks for months to come, but could you do just one more? Cicada simply looks too good not to be represented in our colours, too. Or Magistracy colours. They aren't our fiends yet, but Cicada is a very cheap mech that even Periphery nations have no problems using, so it would look very good in my opinion. :)

Thank you for whatever you do, no matter if you realize my suggestion or not. B)

Tempting suggestion. Tell you what, I will even start my post with "Let there be Cicada!". Fair enough? :-)

I tryed the new unit scheme of the DHB. Grey, metalic with red trim and a skull.
The Atlas somehow turned out to not be as grey/metalic as i wanted :D

For your Atlas try creating a primer layer and painting it the color gray you want to see it might help, nice attempt at the marauder too.

I don't post on this thread much because I don't like tainting this thread with my lack-of-picture post, but I want to say that this is my favorite thread in the forum. Keep it up!

It's not a Cicada, but I decided to experiment more with gradients, like what Ironhawk does. I noticed he uses gradients in his stripes and details other than just metallic parts.

The logo on the side is one of several options for the Northwind Highlanders to use, now that we have to come up with a new unit name.

Bullet Magnet, welcome to a new world of possibilities.

I still really like how the Atlas turned out though, the skull fits perfectly :P

Thank you!

I updated the design to give it a tartan pattern on parts of the lower torso and legs. Plaid is so hard to get right! What do you guys think?

Ok here is a Smithsons Chinese Bandits themed cicada enjoy.
Needs some love this one, and a sand blaster to remove the rust.

PS. This is made possible by Ironhawk's cleaned up version of the mech, and of course the outstanding job Flying Debris does.
