Looking forward to those Trenchbuckets.

Everyone does, but we have to wait since Hayden uses his new policy of showing them all at once, so noone misses anything.
Or it's just the fact he has to make the template first to start. ;)

Working on the template right now. Actually, I'll probably go back to my old ways as far as releasing them. I just can't sit on 'em that long

For hours I've been looking at the marvelous works of art people have created so far, and I'm still not through all of the pages.

Yesterday I noticed that no one seemed to have worked on the Operation Inception Atlas so far, so I decided to take it on. Many many hours later I've come up with something that resembles what I will (hopefully) be piloting in MWO:

I plan to equip this monstrous machine with one Gauss Rifle and one LRM-15 with 2 tons of ammo each, as well as 2 PPCs in the arms. With 10 extra heatsinks and 15 tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor, this *should* be possible. Sadly I don't have a name for it yet.

Damn, I can't wait to take this baby for a spin.

Ok, last one for this page! This one is a conjectural paint scheme for the (VERY) obscure 3rd Recon. Someone requested a jungle something-or-other, and this is my semi-attempt to fulfill that. Note that this scheme is purely conjectural, though the insignia is accurate (but one of my "revamp" jobs, so Fanon). Other than that insignia and the name, there is no other info about the unit that I am aware of. That stuff came from a picture in the 1987 Mercenary's Hand Book.

Thanks for watching everyone! Hopefully Monday brings us something really fun!

Great work on the Trebuchet. Nice and clean, the way it should be. :) I especially like the detail on the head - it's subtle, so I didn't spot it right away, though (my sight must be getting worse...).

Hey, i tryed to switch a Catapult C1 weapons around in the editor (heavymetal /the drawing board).
I came up with two variants.
1) 2x PPCs, 2x LRM5 /SRM4, 19HS, no JJ (max heat 28)
2) 2x LLaser, 2x MLaser, 2x SRM4, 21HS, no JJ (max heat 30) (or 17HS with 4JJ)

I would heart someone very long time, if they modified this image to be the Founder's model and have four tube launchers (SRM4s) and in WWII Finnish AFV camp with subdued Royal Norwegian Air Force roundels....

If your going to do a Treb, gotta do it in the 4th Regulan Hussars, since its sort of their trademark.

One word: Beautiful. I can't wait to see what else people are going to come up with for the 'bucket!

By the way, I think the modded OP Inception Atlas makes for for a nice wallpaper, so in case anyone's interested here you go.

Let me see more jungle ones.

Most of these have colors that suggest they want to be seen and shot at lol

Hayden, will you supply templates of the latest mechs on the start page? I understand that would take time, but I'm sure it would be really really appreciated by millions and millions of... well some people will be very happy about it ;)

Yeah, I usually release templates once I'm happy with how they work or when it's finally taken way too long to get them out.

The underlying chassis seems tinted rather green in all of your repaints. I think you should make it much more grey, to match the rest of the templates. It really stood out to me.

Awesome work!

I have been lurking around the forums for a little while, and I haven't felt compelled to break my silence till now. Hayden, Ironhawk, RenoBlade... ALL of you crazy painters out there. I am in AWE of what I have seen in this marathon thread. I know that I would never be able to chose a single scheme from what I have seen. I have been amazed at both the level of detail, and the overall imagination of the blending of colors and the application of gloss and matte finishes. Damage scars, replaced components, decals... Dear lord the amount of sheer work...

All I can say is Good show.

All three have the same "problem". When you look under the armor (part connecting arm to the torso, for example), you can see it is quite green. Problem is that it is created by the colors of your repaints, since by comparing the two (orig. and repaint), you can see it is the exact same color and shade. :)
