At lower values, it's too dark and on the higher values, the image gets a bit too "plastic".

Note: Thanks to Hayden for the excellent insignia work as always. I just love his simplification of the original as it somehow makes the Lancers emblem even stronger.


EDIT: Adding a second one. Project yourself in 3067 and you may get this view: (right arm handscript inscription says 'Thanks Joey' as a tribute to The Battle Corps founder. I'll let you guess what was this pilot's former unit...)


EDIT: Adding a Colonel from the 1st McCarron's Armored Cavalry. Took liberties on chevrons and stripes. Note that the right leg marking says Russ and not Paul... :-)

So first of all credit to IronHawk for the weapon replacement

So I have always liked the Jagermech and decided to do one up in Word of Blake 52nd Shadow Division colors. Only thing im not a big fan of is the 'gold' coloring.

Have to thank Hayden, Ironhawk, Nacon, Adridos and many others for the help with getting into gimp and the tools/templates to go with the 'mechs. Adridos, I think you're first repaint is fine, we both have to get used to the tools and can expect a lot of fumbling around till we learn the lingo

I'm trying another one repaint with a Cataphract, going to try to....get a bit trickier and spend more time with special tools to see what they do. This one might take a lot longer to post due to learning more of what GIMP can do, and probably due to utter frustration as I try to perfect things with my finger fumbling around. lol

A second try. This time less shiny and a bit more specific. Overally better than the last one. The insignia of the unit is missing, though, as there is none available on the internet besides one black and white scan directly from a book.

The first repaint is always the worst. Look at that hot mess of a Marik Militia Atlas I did about a year ago! You guys will get better

BTW, that weapon emplacement (UAC/5s) was made by me, not Ironhawk*.

*Of course IH could make a much better one, blindfold and with both hands tied, if he wanted...
