P.S. Alex, Mark, nothing personal. I adore work of PGI art division (mostly, half of maps are awful, IMO), but scorn PGI's directors, marketing and game designers (Paul first of all).

They won't release Clan reinforcements now, but I believe in the end of the year... (they will need a new boost)

If MWO survives the financial turbulence of 2014, it will need more 'Mechs, so PGI will surely release rest 8 Clan Omni-Mechs, the question is about format: either 8-Mech pack or 1-by-1 regular schedule.

I usually do a small write-up explaining what's going on in the image... the except:

"This particular Mechwarrior [ED: of Storm's Metal Thunder] has painted the lower extremities of his 'Mech brown and given the upper portion some light gray highlights to create a provisional "ridgeline" scheme. This Mechwarrior has also scored two kills against the 8th Deneb Light Cavalry and replaced a lost Autocanon with one pulled off an 8th Deneb 'mech. "

[ED: As an aside, I updated the image, re-coloring the 8th Deneb gun from beige to green]

I use Gimp with the path tool zoomed in 200% - 800%. Finishing, I usually gaussian blur 1px to 2px of the edge to give it a feathered anti aliased look.

I know there may be newer & better ways to do it. I'm just old school, I guess.

Should have something for you all in a few days or so.

Chit-chatter aside, your design just blows me away... I loved the Hellbringer in earlier games, and I think you've captured it pretty darn well. Alex is gonna have a challenge beating that! Would like to see more repaints of it please
