I knew they would release the hero as "Black Widow" (the nickname of the pilot) instead of "Black Lady"* (the real name of the mech itself). :/

well, yeah. I doubt the BH called his mech the Bounty Hunter, either. It's not the actual mech, it's a fanboi homage, anyhow.

*Edit* Thanks for the template Odanan, I had started one but once I saw yours up...well you saved me so much time, it's incredibly appreciated!

very nice!
Any chance I could con ya into helping a brother finish his?
between limited time and limited skills, and not having a budget for the better programs, this is as far as my Gimp Fu goes.
Still needs gold accent pipings, badges, etc.......
technically, the searchlight got moved tot he right torso, and the autocannon was mounted on the shoulder like a Shadowhawks, but I decided to make this based on the MWO hardpoint locales.
At some point, I'll do a sketch of mine in TT glory.

I actually did my first few repaints in GIMP, it's still a very very nice program for a free one and it helped a TON once I did get Photoshop.
Send me a PM with the specifics and I'll see what I can do

(And yes, I know it's a Timber Wolf MK IV)
Shoutout to Odanan, I remember both of us starting at similar times with GIMP, and I think you've come a hell of a long way buddy! You're repaints are great! Lot of other awesome contributors as well, it's wonderful to see!

Only the original is called Timber Wolf. This is a Mad Cat MK IV AKA "Savage Wolf" (I like THAT name more).

The template says Timber Wolf mostly because it was made well before PGI ever put up the original Clan packs and we had no Timber Wolf art so Ironhawk improvised. As for the name, I know they're called Mad Cats after that but even though I'm a die hard IS player, I like the Timber Wolf name better and usually use it even when talking about the next iterations (though, Savage Wolf is a pretty damn cool name.) Personal preference even if I'm wrong

I just had a thought, if the new Battletech game, or at least it's sequels/expansions, has developer tools added to allow us to create missions/etc....we might be able to actually retexture 'mechs and we could do this for in game stuff!

I'll shoot you that stuff when I get a chance. I got my unit badge, etc on file, also have the armor as a separate template. Colors don't have to be identical, this is more or less a rough outline. Muchas gracias.
