Somehow the two grey parts on the head look unreal/out-of-place. Is there shadow missing, or is it just too bright?

Painted in the traditional colours of the Lyran Guards, this BSW comes with the insignia of the Star League, as well as regimental insignia. Also, it says Pardertöter, which is somewhat old-fashioned German for Slayer of Big Cats, reflecting their (successful) mission to kill the Smoke Jaguars:

I quickly added those "extra parts" after all done and didn't put enough effort in the coloring because I wanted to upload the file. Might need to revisit the template and improve that.

I'm just saying we need a paint your own PD art contest..... get folks to paint it like however their local PD cars are painted.....

Maybe I can edit the concept art later (adding the new geo) so we can use the repaint template.

Not to take away from the Urbanmech discussion, but I just finished this redraw of the Ostroc based on Alan Blacwell designs. Can we get this guy done up for MWO?

Not bad, I think i would make some changes, especially to the feet, but it's a very nice take on the OST

Thanks Bishop, I was also thinking of doing something else with the feet. These are the the ones already drawn but I wanted to do something closer to the original figure's design. If I can find something suitable I will mock one of them up as well. I've been asked to tackle the other OST series mechs as well. I will see what I can do.
Here is the Ostroc MK II though.
I do think the upper body is pretty dead on though, much more "poddy" looking than the original.
The legs as they are here remind me somewhat of the Flashman's design.

OK for my next redo, here is the Ostsol. I have tried to keep the flavor of the original, even going so far as to use the original cockpit while making it more functional looking. Let me first credit the artists who I used. Shortpainter, who is a phenomenal artist and Alan Blackwell[ who is also one of my favorites. Each has a unique style all their own but I wanted to take the best parts of some of their works, and make something closer to the 3025 art. Please make sure to thank these two and I hope they both see my work is flattery and in no way seeks to take away from their art.
