Atlas - its not a bloody latin noun its a greek name adn you'd need to follow either english rules or *greek* (not latin) pluralization.

Its why the proper plural of octopus is octopuses (english) or octopode (greek) and not dog latin octopi

You forgot to take into account the third peritonial parameter in the "las" part of the proper synchronal noun. Taking this into account, the correct result is obviously Atlai

I suspect Lowtax pronounces it Atlases. There can be no other explanation for the skewed results.

Why did I vote Atlai? Because I'm the kind of guy who's really, REALLY lazy and, you know...shaving a couple of milliseconds off the phrase "OMFG RUN FROM THE ATLASES!" will free up literally SECONDS of my time when you add it all together...infact I've already spent those seconds typing this messege so now for my money it's a wash...

All right Mr. Smartypants - what's the root of atlas?

Some day some poor bloke will stumble across this poll and wonder where it all went wrong. Also, I'd like to add I second Deceptors motion to just call them boneheads.

A thousand years in the future the descendents of the machines that wiped out humanity will be sifting through the archeological wreckage of this ancient network and will be able to point to this post as all the justification necessary for the genocide.

I'm disappointed that there's no option for Atlas to be both singular and plural.

Not that that's how I'd use it. I'm an Atlases user.

Atlai, slightly shorter to type, so I might be able to warn my team about a Steiner scout lance inbound BEFORE being vaporized. If I get lucky....
