I read this topic and diddn't realise it'd be so close, I went Atlases btw but I find I say Atlas' in-game. Atlai makes sense in a way but I'm not convinced, hell even the auto spelling disagrees!

I would just like to reinstate that THIS MATTERS. IT MATTERS. So be a good boy and vote for Atlai, because it is highly important that we choose the one that sounds best, not one that is "correct speeling" or whatever.

Yes it is Greek.
In Greek it is ATLADES(άτλαντες) which in English/latin becomes Atlases.
Atlai doesnt exist even in latin..

If you consider what an atlas was in greek mythology ,that is why maps were given this name and that is why a game such as mechwarrior uses it for an awesome fearsome mech that can withstand anything;such as the mythological atlas holds the world
