Why do I crave chocolate when I say Jennai?

Why do I think that Jennai is a p-o-r-n star name?

It has that ring to it doesn't it?
A google search on "jennai" yields "HOT BABE JENNAI" as the third result from top.

I think thats proof enough that Jennai should be the preffered termonology.

Atli.

Europeans with class use Latin.

Only Americans would ever call something as beautiful as an Atlas something as crude as Atlases.

Joking aside, is this... is this actually a case of someone implying that Americans are correct in their language usage? Ha. Seriously, I've never seen that before.

Nah, I actually do prefer Atli or Atlii.

It just sounds more elegant than the other options.

Hmmmmmmm does elegance trump correctness? Personally I think Atlantes is the coolest, but there's no way I'd be able to say that in a match with any semblance of a straight f... er, cockpit.

See, I think Atlai sounds too majestic and elegant to be considered. We're talking about multiple clumsy battlemechs, not a pair of graceful birds dancing in the wind. This is a crude, brutal piece of battlefield tech, and I want a crude word to accompany it.

My two cents.

Atlai? No, spell it for the spelling impaired: Atlay.

Atlay: The Layman's Atlai.

I dunno man, I think it needs some work.

I think you are right. I think the plural should indicate the power of it. How about combining the plural and the past tense verb form? For example "We just Atlaid that whole team!"

It is far more enjoyable to say

Not to be a spoilsport, but the first time I came across the debate was http://mwomercs.com/...atlas-two-atli/ from someone advocating "Atli" under SRS BSNS. I think there were one or two others, but this one holds the length record (I believe)

Interestingly enough, Atlai is incorrect in absolutely every way possible. It isn't the correct English plural, nor is it the correct Greek plural. If we are talking about the English plural, it is Atlases. If we are talking about the Greek plural, it's Atlantes (Ἄτλαντες).

Really? Are you serious? Have we been wrong all along?
