I would like to second that. Maybe with a better construction system, but the game was awesome.
Though I'd prefer a 'battletech' commander, so I can field Artillery and BA. Maybe a Lance of Demolishers.

Wel, the guy is also on the cover of the first Heavy Gear game and since Tau were made in 2001, there is no chance it is a simple copy of Tau battlesuits.

The good news is, Volition, ie the dev of Freespace 1 and 2, REALLY LOVE Freespace and would make Freespace 3 in a heartbeat if they get the chance and the fund to do it (they mentioned this themselves long ago).

The bad news is that they are still technically under THQ most likely slaving away on yet more Saints Row stuff and other safer project for THQ, and probably will not have the time or the fund for... well... god knows when.

Ahh... Freee Space. When I originally played it, I could never understand even the intro, but it was still one of the most engaging scenes I ever saw (and let's not forget the ending).

Violition is working on the Saint's Row 4, though.
