So, maybe someone can help with this. How do you hotdrop a 100 ton mech? My mind is a little rusty, but Im pretty sure they dont come equiped with jump jets, so Im assuming some kind of bolt on thruster or something? Still looks fun to do, and hope we can try it out in game.

Its called drop harnesses, kinda like a parachute for mechs but with rocket boosters. Once the mech lands the drop harness detaches. Even jump jet mechs have these attached because the mechs jump jets can't do a sustain burn all the way to the ground. That is if I remember that correctly.

Hey now, Im a fan of the ODST and their insertions, think its kind of cool

Thats what I figured about the mechs though, as you can see something firing off in the video. I just didnt see anything attached to the mech though, or at least nothing caught my eye. I take that back, guess I wasnt paying attention, but when it drops, you can see what looks a harness attached to it. Least thats what Im guessing that big yellow thing is.

On another note, been dinking around with MW4:M, and gotta say I forgot how fun that game was. Just messing around with the campaign right now, then figure Ill cross over to multiplayer. Figure Ill try to either outfit the Atlas or Catapult, as those are the two heavy mechs we know will be in game. Think I might stick with the Atlas, as it packs more of a punch IMO.
