15 "mechs down... and all amazingly well designed. (Thanks Alex!)

I can't stop salivating over this..... heck.. how do you pick JUST ONE!?!?!?!?!?!? *panic attack*
*deep breaths into paper sack*

OK... better now.

I wish the Poll setup would allow me to ask fave in each category, but it won't, so instead pick your overall fave...

then feel free to give a shout out to your fave in each weight class on a post!

Yep... love old Slab sides. triple PPCs of fear and flame.
Just so tough, and able to mete out some wicked hurt, while absorbing almost anything thrown it's way.

As for the rest...
Light:
-SPIDER
surprised myself here, thought I would go Commando, but I just love the look, and the mobility. Plus I got a few variants that add some real venom to it's bite!

Medium
-Hunchback
tough call here, as all 3 50 tonners are real solid choices and well rendered. But the H-Back has the right mix of armor and punch that I prefer. Though the variant of the CN9 packing an AC/20 is just as nice.

Heavy
- Dragon
toughest one to choose, tbh, because I am honestly not in love with any of them, though all are well done. Ended being a pick between the Jager's ACs and the Dragons speed and versatility. But the Grand Dragon variant is a nasty little beast for 60 tons, and the 3050 upgrade can hit 96 kph.....

Picked Spider.....fast with jump....Will get even faster once I get it into the mechlab with tech 2 equipment :P

Like 10/15/10 and a ERLL :(

Also it should have jump jets on all of its varients. I don't think there is another mech that has that in common.

If the Cataphract 3D is in. I will be happy also :D

Atlas. Massive firepower, massive armor, death's-head appearance - what's not to love?

wait til you run into my tech 2 Awesome.... endo-steel helps free up the tonnage to mount a 400xl, giving it 5/8 move....BEFORE the TSM kicks in....(yeah... an 80 ton mech with 3 PPC and 15.5 tons of armor coming at ya at 96 kph.... you better crap yourself!) 14(28) H.sink allow it to stay pretty cool, but crank the excess heat when it wants to kick in the myomers... protected by 15.5 tons of armor and a Guardian ECM.

Some might question the removal of the 3050 Awesomes short range weapons, but it didn't have the h. sinks to use them, and no case for the SRMS. So far PPCs in the video game have worked fine at point blank, and if melee ever happens, an 80 ton mech smacking you with it's TSM enhanced battlefist ought to just about ruin ones day!

Atlas, because it is a amazing scout......Okay but no seriously I love the atlas for it's iconic look, and the makers sure did it justice ^^

probably true. that was actually designed for TT play originally. I had alter version that ended up mounting 3 clan large pulse lasers, which pretty well answered any short range concerrns, then I added a Beagle and TAG.

Made the perfect Lyran scout Mech. :P

Hunchback is number one here. It's a great flexible mech...

Jagermech is second... Because I love it so much also!

I had a lot of trouble picking a favorite. The only ones I don't really like are the Jenner, Spider, and the Dragon.

That said, after watching the Caustic Valley video and seeing that they put the HBK-4SP in (friggin' close-range missile massacre!), I think we have a winner.

Stalker actually doesn't look stupid for once now that the "lol my knees bend both ways" thing has been take care of and it's loadout is pretty interesting too.

I still feel like the thing's center torso juts out too far. Could just be my mind playing tricks though.

I just changed my selection for my Founders Mech to the Catapult.... because I plan to play a Spider for a Light Mech and with only 4 slots + founders mech that doesn't leave alot of room for the Jenner.

Catapult for the "Best in Show" award. Looks soooo much better than the minis, the 2 variants both suit me, it's seriously moddable in Mech-Lab, and it's as close to a Marauder as I'm likely to get. If only I could fit the right arm from the Cataphract onto the -K2. :P

"Best in Class" awards to the Jenner (because I'm a huge Jenner fan), the Hunchback (looks good, possibly the greatest range of variants of any mech so far), and in the assault class I'm torn between the Atlas (iconic) and the Stalker (I prefer "Eggs on Legs"). Seeing some in-game footage of the Stalker might help me to decide. Or there's a presumably-assault mech reveal presumably next wednesday.

Stalker, since it is the one of the best assault mechs out there. Terrible heat mangement, but there is no range from it to be safe.

Voted Centurion.
General all rounder. Soldier.
Hope to have a lance around me and maybe part of a company. Then I can go job specific.
Light: Spider! Much annoyance to others.
Medium: Centurion [Trebuchet or Hunchback! :D ]
Heavy: None grabbing me at the moment.
Assault: Stalker followed by Awesome [AWS-9Q dated at 3057, but there's no tech on it unavailable at 3049. May try a shuffle in mechlab. True 4PPC love]
I'll be happy just to get playing! :P

The fact that it can be outflanked by a geriatric donkey is a major weakness though.

You just picked my last and second last place mechs... far to slow for me. Also the range and limited ammo of the IS hunchback is a major no for me.

Then again I am the weirdo who chucks a 400xl, jump jets, supercharger and MASC into an atlas and with a straight face calls it a scout mech!
