There is a lot of information floating around but none of it in a very organized fashon (that I can find)...

My main question is what is MWO.... Is this game a lobby with matches that you play over and over.. does it have a world and mmo open area to do things in?

For those of you that have been around it might sound silly but honestly I have given this 20-30 minutes of searching every few months to find an answer to this but nothing and under "game" all I can read are factions there is nothing about what "type" of game this is going to be so I have yet to buy it.

Will there by any type of PvE missions like in the single player mech warrior? I love PvP but i'm worried this game isn't much more then a lobby and matches from the videos I have seen.

The end goal of the Developers is the Community Warfare Concept, which will lift MWO out of the "Lobby and Matches" Style of gamepaly you mentioned.

But no, there will probably never be any PVE/Singleplayer Content.

Don't say that... the developers have said they intend to revisit PvE at a later time.
