Wow. That was very well done. While I may hate House Liao, you list the reasons very well in the last paragraph, you have argued well.
I personally think that pretty much all the houses (and clans) have been/are evil to some extent. I don't know as much as you obviously do, but I get the feeling that the nicest people have been from Rasalhague (not the dominion though, since it includes a clan, invading jerks). May I also point out that even though House Kurita, The Lyran Commonwealth (steiner), and clan ghost bear (incidently my fav. clan) all invaded and beat up Rasalhague, I don't hate them. I may disagree with them, and think they're jerks, and that they should be punished, but I in the end, we're technically on the same side (minus clan Ghost Bear). But on the other hand, everyone is evil and needs to die (at least in MechWarrior). There are very few, and then only individuals, that seem good in MW.
Liao, I hate. I hate Liao BECAUSE it values unity over everything else. Unity is good, until it becomes your guiding purpose. That's why socialism and communism lag behind everyone else. We all seek to advance ourselves, to make ourselves better. Liao seeks only "unity". And if I have to be unified with someone who looks down on me for trying to be the best that I can be (that is what happens in socialism and communism), well, one of us is going down. And I think it won't be the one with much better mechs (and values), aka Rasalhague.
I send you a message of peace, in the form fiery hell.
Socialism and Communism are
*not* the same thing. At all. Socialism is about helping the people who don't have the means to help themselves, where as Capitalism is about helping the people who have the most money. Is that a sweeping generalisation that can't be defended? Somewhat maybe, but it's a lot closer to the truth.
Wth do you mean by someone looking down on you? Social classes are an integral part of Capitalism, not Socialism which is classless (theoretically speaking). Unity is an integral part of humanity because all human activities require cooperation in order to achieve the best results. This is exactly what a Socialist system proliferates. Really, everything you just said was an advertisement for the very thing you're arguing against.
@OVERSKY: It's just a jab, ignore it if you have to.
